CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri softball signed four players, including outfielder Ella Fink, pitcher Ellie Fox, pitcher/infielder Brooklyn Thomas and outfielder Madison Thomas.
Ella Fink, OF, Mount Zion, Ill., Mount Zion H.S.
A senior at Mount Zion High School, Fink owns a career .456 batting average with 123 hits, 124 runs scored and 84 stolen bases. She finished her junior year with a .444 batting average, 56 hits, 56 runs and 35 stolen bases. As a pitcher, Fink won 15 games and struck out 119 in 116 innings. She earned First-Team All-Apollo Conference and Second-Team All-State accolades and won her team's Most Outstanding Pitcher Award. Fink won all of those awards her sophomore year as well, where she hit .492 with 59 hits, 40 runs and 22 stolen bases, and picked up 19 victories to go along with 207 strikeouts in 146 innings as a pitcher. She has been part of three conference championships, three regional championships and two sectional championships in her high school career. Fink was a member of the Premier Fastpitch 18u National club team coached by Brad Sturdy.
Ellie Fox, P, Yorkville, Ill., Yorkville H.S.
Fox is in her senior year at Yorkville High School. She put together a 9-2 record with two saves and 100 strikeouts in 83 innings as a junior. Fox earned All-Area honors that season and claimed All-Conference accolades her sophomore year. She boasts a 4.0 grade point average and is a three-time Academic Excellence award-winner and three-time Honor Roll member. Fox played club softball for Elite Chicago National and Josh Hays.
Brooklyn Thomas, P/INF, Somerset, Ky., Pulaski County H.S.
Thomas, a senior at Pulaski County High School, has accumulated 159 hits, 116 runs scored, 50 doubles, five triples, 22 home runs, 138 RBI and a .474 batting average in her career to date. As a junior, she played the first week of the season before suffering a year-ending injury. She hit .541with 66 hits, 48 runs, 18 doubles, nine home runs and 43 RBI her sophomore year. Thomas also recorded 20 wins with 295 strikeouts in 154 innings in the circle en route to Commonwealth Journal Player of the Year honors. She also garnered All-Region and All-District accolades. Thomas played club softball with the Fury 18u Premier team in Tennessee under Coach Pat Moyer.
Madison Thomas, OF, Evansville, Ind., Reitz Memorial H.S.
A senior at Reitz Memorial High School, Thomas was a First-Team All-Conference and Third-Team All-State selection last season. She hit .505 with 13 doubles, eight triples, eight home runs and 41 RBI her junior year. As a sophomore, Thomas hit .383 with 24 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, two doubles, two triples and two home runs. She was part of the 2025 Reitz Memorial High School team that advanced to the state semifinals. Thomas played club softball with the Louisville Lady Sluggers Huecker M/B under coaches Jim Huecker, Donald Murphy and Codey Burt.
