Redhawks Trek to Tennessee Tech Thursday & Friday
Southeast Missouri Volleyball (8-6, 1-1 OVC) will travel to Cookeville, Tennessee to take on Tennessee Tech (5-9, 2-0 OVC) to continue Ohio Valley Conference play this week. The Redhawks will take on the Golden Eagles on Thursday and Friday, October 2-3, continuing a three-match road swing. First serve is slated for 6 and 4 p.m., CT. at the Eblen Center in Cookeville.Â

Golden Eagles
SEMO Volleyball and Tennessee Tech, two of the longest tenured teams in the Ohio Valley Conference, will meet for the 64
th and 65
th time this week in volleyball. The Redhawks hold a 44-19 overall advantage against TTU. The two teams split the regular season series last season with SEMO winning the first match (3-2) before TTU won the second meeting (3-1) inside Houck Field House. The Golden Eagles have won six-of-the-last-seven meetings in the series.Â

Offensive Player of the Week
Junior outside hitter
Lucy Arndt was named the Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week following the first week of conference action, the league announced Monday afternoon. Arndt finished her week with 36 total kills on 97 total attacks, with just four errors, for an impressive .330 hitting-percentage against UT Martin and Little Rock, respectively. She hit a staggering .429 against UTM (9/24) in a 3-0 sweep of the Skyhawks inside Houck Field House. On Saturday afternoon, Arndt paced the Redhawks with her seventh double-double of the season. She finished with a team-high 22 kills and 21 digs and even added in a trio of block assists in a five-set match. Arndt also added in three service aces against the Trojans. She finished the week with 40.5 points and averaged 5.06 points-per-set. She dished out two assists and did not record a single reception error over the two matches on 36 total attempts. The 2024 First Team All-OVC selection collected her first weekly award of the season this week.Â

Last Week
The Redhawks began Ohio Valley Conference play last week starting with a 3-0 victory over UT Martin inside Houck Field House. SEMO won the match with scores of 25-9, 25-18, and 25-16 to collect its first OVC victory. The Redhawks then traveled to Little Rock, Arkansas and dropped a thrilling five-set match with Little Rock and sit at 1-1 in league play after two matches.Â

On the Road
The matches with TTU will conclude a three-match road swing for SEMO Volleyball. The Redhawks are looking for their first road win of the season after starting 0-4 away from Cape Girardeau.

Top 20 Defending
Through 14 matches, the Redhawks rank in the top 20 of all Division I volleyball in digs-per-set. SEMO is averaging 16.58 digs-per-set which ranks them 19
th in the country for that category, and third in the OVC. Libero
Nina Schuberth leds the club with 211 digs on the season, averaging 3.84 digs-per-set.Â

The Redhawks rank first in the Ohio Valley Conference in four team categories. SEMO ranks first in team digs (912), team kills (694), total attacks (2,046), and team assists (647).Â

National Status
Junior
Lucy Arndt ranks among the best in all of NCAA Division I volleyball in total attacks. Arndt has 652 total attacks in 2025 and leads the Ohio Valley Conference in the category. She ranks fifth in the entire country with just 44 less attacks than the nation's leader TaKenya Stafford of Coppin State (696).Â

Middle Attack
Sophomore
Alaina Lester leads the Ohio Valley Conference in hitting-percentage so far this season. The middle blocker is hitting an impressive .381 on the season, ranking her first in the league and 61
st in the country. Lester has 61 kills on 134 total attacks and has registered just 10 errors this season.Â

Results
SEMO Volleyball sits at 8-6 overall and a 1-1 mark in league play so far in 2025. The majority of SEMO's results this season have come in either three or five sets. 13-of-SEMO's-14 matches this season have ended in three or five sets, and in those matches SEMO is 4-3 (3 sets) and 4-2 (5 sets). Only one match this season has ended in four sets, a match that SEMO lost to Weber State (3-1).Â

The Redhawks have utilized two setters this season in sophomore
Megan Holder and senior
Alandry Below. The duo has led SEMO to an overall team hitting-percentage of .218 which ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference. Holder leads the club with 285 assists on the season, followed by Below with 230. The pairing has recorded 515-of-SEMO's 647 team assists.Â

Offensive Prowess
Sophomore
Marin Johnson has caught fire this season, following only
Lucy Arndt in kills this season. Johnson is the only other Redhawk north of 100 kills for the season having registered 122 kills. She has 352 total attacks on the campaign and has a .224 hitting-percentage over 49 sets played. Against Iowa (9/11), Johnson matched a career-high 17 kills against the Hawkeyes in a five-set victory for SEMO.Â

Middle blocker
Alaina Lester recorded a new season-high in block assists on Saturday afternoon at Little Rock. Lester, who had a previous high of five block assists versus North Alabama (8/30), recorded seven block assists against Little Rock. She now has 27 block assists on the season.Â

Team Offense
Through 14 matches, the Redhawks offense has recorded 694 kills over 55 sets played. The Redhawks have registered 2,064 total attacks with just 248 errors for an overall hitting-percentage of .218. SEMO is averaging 12.62 kills-per-set which narrowly trails their opponents (12.91) this year.Â
