Redhawks Host Tennessee State
• Southeast Missouri remains home to face Tennessee State Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:45 p.m., CT at the Show Me Center.
• As part of Rowdy the Redhawk's 20th Birthday celebration, the first 2,500 fans will receive a Basketball Rowdy bobblehead courtesy of Banterra Bank.
• SEMO will be at home for four of its next seven contests.
• The Redhawks have eight home victories this season and tie for second in the Ohio Valley Conference in home wins behind Morehead State (9), SIUE (9) and Lindenwood (9).

• Saturday is the 62nd meeting between Southeast Missouri and Tennessee State.
• TSU holds a 31-30 lead in the all-time series.
• SEMO won seven of its last 10 matchups with the Tigers, including a 66-65 win over TSU in Nashville on Jan. 2.
• Eighteen of the Redhawks wins in their series against TSU have come in Cape Girardeau.
• The Tigers escaped with a 77-74 victory the last time they visited the Show Me Center on Feb. 10, 2024.

Over Halfway Home
• The Redhawks are 7-4 in Ohio Valley Conference a little over halfway through its conference schedule.
• Southeast Missouri began the second half of league action with a 90-79 home win over UT Martin Thursday.
• After Saturday's game, SEMO embarks on a key road trip which includes matchups at OVC leader Morehead State (Feb. 6), Southern Indiana (Feb. 8) and second-place Little Rock (Feb. 11).
• The rest of the OVC slate features home games against Tennessee Tech (Feb. 15), Western Illinois (Feb. 20) and Lindenwood (Feb. 22), and road matchups at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 27) and Eastern Illinois (Mar. 1).
Redhawks Move to Second in the OVC
• With its win over UT Martin (Jan. 30) and losses by Little Rock and SIU Edwardsville, Southeast Missouri is now in a three-way tie for second in the Ohio Valley Conference standings.
• SEMO, SIUE and Little Rock all have 7-4 league records behind first-place Morehead State (9-3). MSU also lost on Thursday night.
• The Redhawks recorded their 10th win of the season with a 77-70 road victory over Tennessee Tech (Jan. 16).
• At the time, SEMO became the fourth OVC team to 10 wins.
• At 12-10 overall and 7-4 in OVC play, the Redhawks have surpassed their number of overall (9) and OVC (4) wins from 2023-24 by +3 margins.
• SEMO began the 2024-25 season with a 3-0 record in OVC play marking the first time it won three-straight games to start a conference season since 2011-12.
• The Redhawks beat Eastern Illinois (79-72, Dec. 19), SIU Edwardsville (80-64, Dec. 21), Southern Indiana (77-66, Jan. 9) and UT Martin (90-79, Jan. 30) at home, and Tennessee State (67-65, Jan. 2), Tennessee Tech (77-70, Jan. 16) and Western Illinois (72-51, Jan. 25) on the road for their OVC wins this year.
• SEMO won seven of its last 11 OVC games dating back to last year's season-ending 70-66 victory at Southern Indiana.
Nine of 13
• Southeast Missouri won nine of its last 13 games with six of those victories coming in Cape Girardeau.
• SEMO saw a season-long five-game winning streak end with a three-point (66-63) loss at UT Martin (Jan. 4).
• The Redhawks had a six-game home winning streak until their 67-56 loss to Morehead State (Jan. 11).
• SEMO is 4-2 at the Show Me Center and 3-2 on the road in conference play.
Back-to-Back Double-Digit OVC Wins
• For the first time in Ohio Valley Conference play this season, Southeast Missouri recorded back-to-back double-digit wins.
• SEMO beat Western Illinois, 72-51, in Macomb on Jan. 25 and UT Martin, 90-79, in Cape Girardeau on Jan. 30.
• The last time the Redhawks posted consecutive league victories by double figures was during the 2022-23 campaign.
• SEMO defeated Tennessee State, 92-75, in Cape Girardeau on Jan. 26, 2023 and Eastern Illinois, 79-68, in Charleston on Jan. 28, 2023 that year.
• Overall, the Redhawks have eight double-digit victories in 2024-25.
Season-High Field Goal Percentage
• The Redhawks shot a season-high 63.5 percent from the field in their win over UT Martin (Jan. 30).
• SEMO last shot that well at the Show Me Center when it hit 63.6 percent (35-of-55) of its field goals in a 94-71 victory over Lindenwood on Jan. 12, 2023.
• It was the Redhawks fifth-best single-game field goal percentage during their NCAA Division I era and fourth-highest in an Ohio Valley Conference matchup.
Martin Reaches 200 Assists
• With his seven assists against UT Martin (Jan. 30), point guard Rob Martin reached 200 in his career.
• Martin leads Southeast Missouri and ranks third in the Ohio Valley Conference with 92 assists through 22 games this season.
• He averages 4.2 assists per game and has dished out five or more a total of six times.
• Martin finished with a career-high nine assists in SEMO's OVC opener against Eastern Illinois (Dec. 19).
• Martin is the first Redhawk to get 200 or more assists in a career since Jonathan Dalton (315, 2016-19) accomplished the feat.
• He is eight assists away from getting 100 in a season for the second-straight year.
Biel Contributes
• TJ Biel gave the Redhawks a nice boost off the bench in his last three games.
• Biel scored seven points and had seven rebounds at Lindenwood (Jan. 23), 10 points and seven boards at Western Illinois (Jan. 25) and 11 points and three rebounds vs. UT Martin (Jan. 30).
• He averaged 22 minutes per game and shot 64.7 percent (11-of-17) from the field in that stretch.
• Biel scored double figures in each of his last two games.
Nice Defense
• Southeast Missouri has held its opponent under 70 points in seven of its last 11 games.
• SEMO (67.8 ppg allowed) is third in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring defense behind Little Rock (66.3 ppg allowed) and SIU Edwardsville (66.4 ppg allowed).
• The Redhawks limited Western Illinois to only 51 points on Jan. 25, the lowest point total by any opponent against SEMO this year.
Martin Leads the Way
• Rob Martin scored double figures in seven-straight games.
• Martin scored 15 points against Southern Indiana (Jan. 9) and followed that up with 21 vs. Morehead State (Jan. 11), 19 vs. Little Rock (Jan. 14), 13 at Tennessee Tech (Jan. 16), 12 at Lindenwood (Jan. 23), 16 at Western Illinois (Jan. 25) and 18 vs. UT Martin (Jan. 30).
• He is SEMO's second-leading scorer with 12.1 points per game through 22 starts this season.
• Martin finished as the Redhawks top scorer a total of five times in 2024-25.
OVC Leader in Turnover Margin
• The Redhawks are first in the Ohio Valley Conference with a +3.1 turnover margin.
• Southeast Missouri is committing a league low 10.6 turnovers per game while forcing 13.7.
• SEMO turned the ball over less than 10 times a total of nine games this season.
• The Redhawks had a season-low six turnovers at Western Illinois (Jan. 25).
About Tennessee State
• Tennessee State comes to Cape Girardeau presently as the hottest team in the Ohio Valley Conference.
• TSU has a four-game winning streak and has not lost since Jan. 16.
