CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – All 15 Southeast Missouri teams finished with above a 3.0 grade point average during the Fall 2024 semester.
Departmentally, SEMO Athletics completed its 15th consecutive semester with a GPA higher than 3.0. The Redhawks accumulated a 3.42 GPA this past fall. That mark ranks as the department's third-highest GPA all-time behind the Spring 2020 (3.53) and Spring 2024 (3.44) semesters.
A total of 120 student-athletes made the University's Dean's List and 78 were named to the President's List.
SEMO's men's track & field team set a program record with a 3.48 GPA. Meanwhile, the baseball (3.46), football (3.09), men's basketball (3.18) and volleyball (3.68) all reached their second-highest GPAs in their respective sport histories. Additionally, the 2024 fall semester is the best for the football team to date.
It was only the second time in SEMO's athletics history where every team posted over a 3.0 GPA. Redhawk teams have also gone two-straight semesters accomplishing that feat.
