CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Taylor Ingle of Southeast Missouri Gymnastics took home the Midwest Independent Conference 'Gymnast of the Week' following her efforts at the Texas Woman's Tri-Meet last Friday night.
Ingle, a junior from Coppell, Texas, finished in first place in the all-around with a 38.500 just narrowly missing her previous season high (38.700).
She finished first on two events including the vault with a 9.850 and the floor registering a 9.875. Her scores on the vault and floor were both season bests for Ingle.
She tied for 11
th on the bars (9.675) and finished tied for 16
th on the beam (9.100) to round out the meet.
Ingle has now competed in all three meets this season in the all-around and has been in the top three in two-of-three meets this season.
The Gymhawks placed second at the Texas Woman's Tri-Meet with a season best 193.325 narrowly trailing Texas Woman's (194.875) and finished in front of West Chester (191.775) who took third.
Looking Ahead
SEMO Gymnastics will return to action on Sunday, January 26, when they compete in the Bowling Green Tri-Meet with Bowling Green and Central Michigan. Competition is slated to begin at 1 p.m., CT. in Bowling Green, Ohio.
