Gymhawks Hit the Road to Texas Woman's & Centenary 
Southeast Missouri Gymnastics will return to action on the road for two meets over the weekend beginning on Friday, January 17, at the Texas Woman's Tri-Meet in Denton, Texas. SEMO will then travel to Centenary for the Centenary Tri-Meet in Shreveport, La. on Monday, January 20. Competition is slated to begin at 7 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively. 
 
Who's There
The Redhawks will face off with two Midwest Independent Conference foes on Friday and Monday beginning with Texas Woman's. Monday the Gymhawks will face off with Centenary and at both meets, West Chester will take part against the Gymhawks. 
 
Last Time Out
SEMO Gymnastics finished in third place at the Ball State Quad-Meet last Sunday, January 12, with an overall score of 189.750 finishing in front of Wisconsin Eau-Claire who finished fourth with a 181.500. Junior Taylor Ingle and freshman Joselene Hernandez competed in the all-around category for the Gymhawks on Sunday. Ingle finished tied for third overall with a 38.700 after the conclusion of all four rotations. Hernandez finished in sixth with a 35.975. 
 
Beam
Taylor Ingle and Ailey Kuehn led the Redhawks on the Beam to open the competition as each recorded a 9.675. Kuehn recorded her score in the second spot, with Ingle going in spot five in the lineup. 
 
Newcomer Jaidan Kossuth began the competition with a 9.650 in the opening spot to get the rotation going. 
 
The Redhawks finished rotation one with a 47.375 running score. 
 
Floor
The Redhawks improved their rotation score from beam to floor by an entire point, finishing with a 48.375 on the floor in rotation two. Taylor Ingle led the rotation with a 9.750 in the sixth spot of the lineup. 
 
Senior Madison Greene and freshman Joselene Hernandez tied each other for the second highest score on the rotation with a 9.700 each.  Greene competed in spot five while Hernandez went in the second spot in the rotation. 
 
Sydney Crouch opened the rotation with a 9.575 in her second-straight floor routine of the season. 
 
Junior Kailyn Hamilton and sophomore Leah Parton recorded a 9.625 and 9.600, respectively, in spots three and four of the lineup to give SEMO a 95.750 midway through the competition. 
 
Vault
Junior Ailey Kuehn led the Redhawks on rotation three with a 9.800 on the vault from the second spot in the lineup. For Kuehn, the 9.800 was a season-high on the vault rotation. 
 
Senior Lindsay Ockler anchored the lineup for the Gymhawks, turning in the second-highest score of the rotation with a 9.725. 
 
Taylor Ingle began the rotation with a 9.675 from spot one and was matched by senior Janelle Lopez in spot five with a 9.675 of her own. Senior Nyah Reader turned in a 9.575 in the third spot in the lineup. The Redhawks finished the vault with a 48.450 team score and a 144.200 running score. 
 
Bars
The final rotation of the afternoon saw the Redhawks on the bars, led again by Taylor Ingle. Ingle turned in a team-high 9.600 in the fourth spot of the rotation. 
 
Kailyn Hamilton and Janelle Lopez were the only other Redhawks to finish north of 9.000 on the bars, turning in a 9.425 and a 9.350, respectively. SEMO finished with a 45.550 on the bars rotation as a team.

All-Arounders
Two Gymhawks competed on all four rotations last time out as junior Taylor Ingle and freshman Joselene Hernandez recorded a 38.700 and 35.975, respectively, at the Ball State Quad-Meet. Ingle finished third overall in the all-around with Hernandez finishing sixth. In two meets, Ingle has competed in the all-around and raised her score by a full point from meet one (37.925) to meet two. 
 
Career-High Kuehn
Junior Ailey Kuehn had a career day at the Ball State Quad-Meet finishing with her best vault routine of her career. Kuehn recorded a 9.800 from spot two in the Redhawks lineup for her new career high. She placed second overall at the meet, missing first place by just .500. Kuehn has competed in two-straight meets on the vault in 2025. 
 
Big Day for Jaidan
Newcomer Jaidan Kossuth has competed on the beam rotation in both meets to begin 2025 in her first season in a Gymhawks leotard. Kossuth recorded an 8.925 in her first meet but bounced back in week two with a SEMO career-high 9.650 on the beam. Her score placed her 10th overall at the Ball State Quad-Meet. 
 
Floor General
Senior Madison Greene has competed on the floor in both meets this season for the Gymhawks and made improvements from week one to week two. The first meet of the season, Greene recorded a 9.550 on the floor at the Missouri Quad-Meet. On Sunday, Greene went for a 9.700 on the floor and tied for the second highest score on the floor for SEMO.
