CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Junior College transfer Troy Cole Jr. signed with the Southeast Missouri men's basketball program Monday.
A 6'5", 200-pound wing, Cole Jr. is a native of Donaldsville, Louisiana and comes to Cape Girardeau from Highland Community College in Illinois. He was the Cougars top scorer with 16.5 points per game in 2023-24. Cole Jr. started 30 of 33 games shooting 49.7 percent (186-of-374) from the field and just under 40 percent (39.5) from 3-point range (45-of-114). He also ranked second on the team in assists (95) and steals (50).
"Troy brings a level of maturity, physicality and toughness that we need," said SEMO Head Coach
Brad Korn. "He is a high motor competitor who comes from a very well-coached Highland Community College program. Coach [Luke] Norman has had a number of productive players through his program that have been ready as soon they step on campus. Troy will be no different."
Cole Jr. played his freshman season at Blackburn College averaging 15.2 points per game while shooting 51.9 percent from the field during the 2022-23 campaign.
He joins 7-foot forward Elliot Lowndes (John A. Logan College) in the 2024-25 class. Lowndes signed with the Redhawks last weekend.
