COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri Baseball (20-20, 9-6 OVC) rallied in the ninth inning to get to within a run, but fell just short as Tennessee Tech (25-15, 10-5 OVC) held on to win 4-3 on Sunday afternoon from Bush Stadium.
Center fielder

Ty Stauss. Stauss roped a single to left field off RHP Jaxson Pease (5-1) to get the Redhawks to within a run.
A strikeout ended the game as the Golden Eagles secured the series-clinching victory.
The Redhawks and Golden Eagles struggled offensively as both teams recorded just five hits apiece. RHP
Brian Strange pitched 4.1 innings and allowed just one run on three hits in his start. TTU's Pease pitched 8.2 innings and allowed just two earned runs on five hits.
LHP
Alex Hayes (2-2) took the loss in the contest but had a strong outing out of the bullpen in relief of Strange as he struck out three hitters.
An RBI groundout by designated hitter
Keoni Coloma drove in the first run of the ball game in the third inning as the Redhawks got out to a 1-0 lead.
The Golden Eagles would respond with a run of their own in the bottom half with a solo home run by Troy Baunsgard made it 1-1 until the seventh inning.
TTU executed the squeeze play to perfection to take the lead, 2-1, in the seventh inning and just one out as the throw home from Hayes was late to allow the run to score.
First baseman
Bryce Cannon launched his ninth home run of the season in the eighth inning to tie it at two. Cannon's bomb came with one out in the eighth off Pease.
A big two-run home run was TTU's response in the home half as the go-ahead home run was enough as SEMO added their third and final run in the ninth.
