CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (4-6) blanked Bradley (5-6), 4-0, in its home-opener Saturday afternoon at the John C. Bierk Tennis Complex.

SEMO improved to 23-3 at home since the 2019 season.

This week's Ohio Valley Conference Doubles Team of the Week Daniela Hlacikova and Juliette Talieu defeated Andra Sirbu and Kristin Hailey, 6-2, for their fifth-straight win at No. 1. Trinity Calinescu and Vivian Lai locked up the doubles point with a 6-4 victory over Maria Bezmenova and Mariia Pukhina at No. 2.

Victories in the first three singles matches clinched it for the Redhawks.

Hlacikova returned to the top of SEMO's lineup to take down Bezmenova, 7-6, 6-2. Calinescu upended Anna Belogliadova, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2. Lera Valeeva then beat Madi Rodgers, 6-3, 6-2, at the No. 6 spot.

SEMO remains home to host Arkansas State Sunday. Start time is set for 12 p.m., CT.
