CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri Gymnastics placed second in their final home meet of the season on Friday night. The Redhawks ended with a total score of 193.500, Illinois State took first place with a score of 195.975, and Fisk took third place with a 188.225.
On senior night,
Lydia Webb turned in an All-Around score of 38.600 for third place. Senior
Anna Speller competed on the beam in the sixth spot and competed as an exhibition on the bars.
Taylor Ingle also competed in the all-around placing second with a total score of 39.175. She recorded the Redhawks highest score of the night.
Vault
The Redhawks began the night on the vault, posting an overall score of 48.625.
Taylor Ingle started the night off for the Redhawks on the Vault. Ingle picked up a score of 9.700.
Ailey Kuehn turned in the best vault performance of the night for the Redhawks. Kuehn recorded an impressive score of 9.775.
Freshman
Jordan Napolitano and junior
Madison Greene scored in the 9.6's. Napolitano went for 9.650 while Greene scored a 9.675.
In spot four,
Janelle Lopez turned in a score of 9.750.
Lydia Webb started off her senior night posting a 9.725 in her first event of the night.
SEMO ended the first rotation in second place with a 48.625.
Bars
SEMO took on the bars in their second rotation of the night. The Gymhawks posted a final score of 48.500 on the uneven bars.
Taylor Ingle turned in the Redhawks' first 9.8 score of the night. The All-Around gymnast recorded a score of 9.800.
To end SEMO's bars lineup,
Sydney Crouch scored a new Season high. Crouch's best was 9.600 but tonight she posted a 9.725.
In the fifth spot,
Janelle Lopez recorded another 9.750 score and
Kailyn Hamilton started her night off with a 9.675 right in the middle of the lineup at spot three.
Freshman
Ava Johnston led the Redhawks off on the uneven bars again. Johnston notched a score of 9.550.
SEMO ended the second rotation in second place with a score of 97.125. 0.500 points behind first place Illinois State.
Beam
In SEMO's third rotation of the night, they turned in a score of 47.175 on the beam. The Redhawks beam lineup was anchored by the two seniors,
Lydia Webb and
Anna Speller.
Taylor Ingle continued her strong night with an impressive beam score of 9.775 in spot four. That was the highest score for the gymhawks on the beam.
To round out the Redhawks on the balance beam the senior
Anna Speller turned in a big beam performance on senior night. Speller tied her season high registering a 9.750.
The savvy SEMO veteran
Lydia Webb turned in a score of 9.600 in spot five.
Anna Chodon,
Madison Greene, and
Jordan Napolitano were in spots one through three on the beam. They posted scores of 8.475, 9.050, and 9.000.
After the third rotation the Gymhawks had a total score of 144.300 in second place behind Illinois State (146.650) and in front of Fisk (142.950).
Floor
The Redhawks ended their night with the floor routine. SEMO recorded their best event score of the night posting a 49.200 on the floor.
Kailyn Hamilton starts the Redhawks off on the floor, turning in a 9.650.
Jordan Napolitano tied her season high on the floor with a dominating performance ending with a score of 9.875.
Taylor Ingle recorded the highest score of the night for the Redhawks. Ingle was in spot four on the floor and put up an impressive score of 9.900.
Going third for SEMO,
Sydney Crouch notched a 9.825, her highest score of the night.
Lydia Webb performed her last floor routine in Houck Field House and recorded her best score of the night, a 9.850.
Madison Greene ended the Redhawks night with a 9.750 on the Floor Routine.
Looking Ahead
The Gymhawks will be on the road in two weeks traveling to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete at the Nebraska Quad-Meet. The Redhawks will face Nebraska, Illinois State, and North Carolina at 1:00 p.m., CT. on March 3.
