Rivalry Revisited
• Southeast Missouri heads to Missouri Valley Conference member Murray State Sunday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m., CT at the CFSB Center.
• SEMO faces what was once its biggest rival in the Ohio Valley Conference for the first time since MSU left the OVC to join its new league.
• The Racers own a all-time .807 winning percentage (1,067-255) at the CFSB Center and are 3-1 on their homecourt this season.
• SEMO is 11-31 against MSU in Murray, Kentucky and last won there on Jan. 26, 2017 (75-74).
Series Notes
• Southeast Missouri and Murray State meet for the 89th time Sunday and first time with the Racers not being a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.
• MSU owns a 66-22 lead in the all-time series which dates all the way back to 1930-31.
• The Racers won the last 11 matchups between the teams.
• SEMO last beat MSU on Feb. 23, 2017 (82-69) in Cape Girardeau.
• The final game between MSU and SEMO prior to the Racers leaving for the Missouri Valley Conference was at the OVC Tournament on Mar. 4, 2022. MSU eliminated SEMO with a 88-74 victory in the semifinals on Mar. 4, 2022.
• The Redhawks have six wins at the CFSB Center, the most of any opponent in that facility.
• SEMO also ended MSU's 47-game home winning streak that spanned four seasons. The Racers went undefeated at home for the 1996-97, 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons. The Redhawks snapped the streak with their 84-78 win on Jan. 15, 2000.
• SEMO and MSU are schools located less than two miles apart.
Final Exams Coming Up
• Sunday's game against Murray State is Southeast Missouri's last contest before final exams.
• The fall semester officially ends with Commencement on Dec. 14.
• SEMO will be off a week for final exams from Dec. 9-13 before returning to action when it hosts Saint Mary of the Woods on Dec. 15.
Redhawks Fall at Lipscomb
• The Redhawks were in Nashville for the second time this season when they visited Lipscomb (Dec. 5).
• Southeast Missouri faced LU in its earliest game of the season that tipped off at 11 a.m., CT.
• SEMO scored the first basket of the contest for its only lead of the game.
• It was the Redhawks third meeting with the Bisons all-time and second at Allen Arena.
• The Redhawks dropped to 1-3 in true road games this season.
About Murray State
• Murray State is off to a 5-2 start this season and recently beat Evansville, 63-61, for its first Missouri Valley Conference victory on Dec. 3.
• MSU heated up to win four of its last five games and is 3-1 at home this year.
• Four of the Racers' starters are averaging double figures with JaCobi Wood, Terence Harcum and AJ Ferguson leading the way with 12.9 points per game.
• MSU ranks third in the MVC with a .503 field goal percentage and +16.7 scoring margin.
• KyeRon Lindsay leads the league with 15 blocks and is averaging 2.1 per contest.
• Steve Prohm is in the third season of his second coaching term with the Racers. Prohm was at MSU for four years (2011-15), then spent six seasons at Iowa State (2015-21) before going back to MSU in 2022-23.

• Southeast Missouri is 135-281 all-time against the Missouri Valley Conference.
• SEMO has played Missouri State (147 games) and Southern Illinois (120 games) the most out of the MVC.

• Murray State is the second MVC school on SEMO's schedule this season. The Redhawks opened the year at Bradley (Nov. 4).
Washington, Jr. Tabbed OVC Newcomer of the Week
• Southeast Missouri won its first Ohio Valley Conference award of the season when Teddy Washington, Jr. was named Co-Newcomer of the Week on Dec. 2.
• A native of Blytheville, Arkansas, Washington, Jr. had a season-high 28 points in SEMO's win over Kansas City (Nov. 30).
• He knocked down a season-best seven 3-pointers, added five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 31 minutes.
• Washington, Jr.'s seven threes are the second-most in a game by an OVC player this season.
• It was the second 20-point game for Washington, Jr. in 2024-25.
3-Pointer Streak
• The Redhawks have made at least one 3-pointer in 497 consecutive games.
• The last time Southeast Missouri did not make a 3-pointer was vs. Western Illinois (0-of-6) on Dec. 10, 2008.
• SEMO has made 65-of-203 threes at a 32 percent rate this season.
• The Redhawks drained 11 or more threes in three of their first eight contests.
Redhawks Sixth in the Nation Defending the Three
• The Redhawks rank sixth in the nation in 3-point percentage defense out of the 355 NCAA Division I teams.
• Opponents are shooting just 25 percent from downtown against Southeast Missouri this season.
• SEMO has held its opponent to five or less 3-pointers made in five of its eight games in 2024-25.
Stacker Returns to Murray
• Braxton Stacker, who played his freshman season at Murray State, returns to face his former school for the first time Sunday.
• After missing the first six games due to injury, Braxton Stacker made his 2024-25 debut against Kansas City on Nov. 30.
• Stacker came off the bench to score 10 points and grab three rebounds in 17 minutes.
• He also made 3-of-4 free throws and knocked down one 3-pointer against the Roos.
