Redhawks Host SIU Edwardsville
•    Southeast Missouri plays host to SIU Edwardsville in its final game before Christmas Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3:45 p.m., CT at the Show Me Center.
•    Saturday's matchup is SEMO's second Ohio Valley Conference game of the season.
•    The 2024-25 campaign is SEMO's 34th year as a member of the OVC.
•    The Redhawks have an all-time record of 214-328 in conference games.
•    SEMO is 32-42 in OVC play under Head Coach Brad Korn. Korn led the Redhawks to their second OVC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022-23.

Series Notes
•    Southeast Missouri holds a 27-14 lead in its all-time series against SIU Edwardsville.
•    SEMO is 17-5 against the Cougars at the Show Me Center.
•    SIUE lost in each of its last five trips to Cape Girardeau.
•    SEMO and SIUE split its home-and-home conference series the last two years. The home team won in both of those seasons.
•    The Redhawks are 7-2 in their previous nine meetings with the Cougars.
•    SEMO is 6-2 all-time and 4-0 at the Show Me Center against SIUE under Head Coach Brad Korn.

Merry Christmas
•    After Saturday's game against SIU Edwardsville, Southeast Missouri will get an eight-day break before resuming action.
•    SEMO will host Westminster (Dec. 29) in its final non-conference matchup before getting back to Ohio Valley Conference play for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Redhawk Win OVC Opener
•    Southeast Missouri started Ohio Valley Conference play with a 79-72 win over Eastern Illinois (Dec. 19).
•    SEMO opened OVC play with a win for the second-straight year.
•    The Redhawks improved to 12-22 all-time in OVC openers and moved to 2-3 in such games under Head Coach Brad Korn.
•    SEMO also handed EIU its eighth-straight road loss.

Back-to-Back Wins
•    The Redhawks carry a two-game winning streak into Saturday's matchup with SIU Edwardsville.
•    Southeast Missouri won back-to-back games for the first time this season when it beat St. Mary of the Woods, 93-56, on Dec. 15 and Eastern Illinois, 79-72, on Dec. 19.
•    Both of those games were played at the Show Me Center.
•    SEMO has won three of its last five games.
•    The Redhawks, along with Little Rock, Western Illinois, Southern Indiana and Morehead State, picked up wins in league action Thursday.

About SIUE
•    SIU Edwardsville was picked to finish third in the 2024-25 Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll.
•    At 7-5 overall, SIUE is tied for first in the OVC with wins. The Cougars, however, are off to a 0-1 start in conference play following a 60-56 loss at Little Rock (Dec. 19).
•    SIUE has the league's top scoring defense giving up just 66 points per game.
•    The Cougars also lead the OVC with a +8.75 scoring margin.
•    Ray'Sean Taylor is SIUE's top scoring threat. Taylor ranks third in the OVC with 17.1 points per game. Taylor is also the league's best free throw shooter (.889) and leads the OVC in 3-point field goals made (41).

Korn in the OVC
•     Brad Korn has an all-time record of 32-42 in Ohio Valley Conference games.
•    Korn guided Southeast Missouri to its first Ohio Valley Conference Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance in over two decades during the 2022-23 campaign.
•    It was SEMO's second OVC Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament berth in program history.
•    In 2022-23, the Redhawks finished fifth in the OVC with a 10-8 record and became the first #5 seed to win an OVC Tournament.
•    SEMO's other conference records under Korn include 9-11 (2020-21), 8-9 (2021-22) and 4-14 (2023-24).

Four-Game Home Stand
•     Southeast Missouri is in the middle of a season-long four-game home stand.
•    After Saturday's game against SIU Edwardsville, SEMO closes out the stretch against Westminster (Dec. 29). 
•    The Redhawks are at home for five of their next seven contests.

Terry Rises
•     Brendan Terry, who has started all 11 games this season, scored double figures in four of his last five outings.
•    Most recently, Terry scored 13 points in his first career Ohio Valley Conference start vs. Eastern Illinois (Dec. 19).
•    Before that, he finished with a season-high 17 points vs. St. Mary of the Woods (Dec. 15).
•    Additionally, Terry scored 12 points and had six rebounds at Murray State (Dec. 8). and pitched in 14 points vs. Kansas City (Nov. 30).
•    Terry is SEMO's fourth-leading scorer (8.4 ppg) and third-leading rebounder (3.5 rpg).

3-Pointer Streak
•    The Redhawks have made at least one 3-pointer in 500 consecutive games.
•    The last time Southeast Missouri did not make a 3-pointer was vs. Western Illinois (0-of-6) on Dec. 10, 2008.
•    SEMO has made 84-of-268 threes at a 31.3 percent rate this season.
•    The Redhawks drained 10 or more threes in a game four times this year.

Washington, Jr. Delivers
•    Newcomer Teddy Washington, Jr. has scored double figures in nine of his last 10 games.
•    Washington, Jr. recently had a double-double 28 points and 10 rebounds in his first career Ohio Valley Conference start vs. Eastern Illinois (Dec. 19). He scored 24 points in the second half of that contest.
•    He scored over 20 points three times with 25 vs. Chattanooga (Nov. 17) and a season-high 28 vs. both Eastern Illinois (Dec. 19) and Kansas City (Nov. 30).    
•    Washington, Jr. turned in a double-double on three occasions with 18 points and 12 rebounds vs. Crowley's Ridge (Nov. 13), 25 points and 10 boards against Chattanooga (Nov. 17) and 28 points and 10 rebounds vs. Eastern Illinois (Dec. 19).
•    Washington, Jr. is Southeast Missouri's leading scorer with 17 points per game and tops the Redhawks with 6.5 rebounds per contest and 27 three-pointers made.
•    He ranks fourth in the OVC in scoring and sixth in rebounding (6.5 rpg).
