Track & Field Open Indoor Season at Indiana

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri track and field opens the 2024-25 indoor season Friday, Dec. 13, at the Indiana Early Bird Meet.
The Meet will be held at Gladstein Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Indiana.
The field events are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m, C.T with the women's weight throw. The track events are slated for 3:05 p.m, with the women's 5000m.
The 2024 indoor season saw the Redhawks break a total of ten SEMO records and finish the Indoor Ohio Valley Championship with 17 gold medal performances and 34 podium finishes.
Last season the women's team won their ninth Ohio Valley Conference Indoor championship with 224 total points, 98.5 points ahead of Little Rock in second.
The men's team finished in third place with 127.5 total points behind Eastern Illinois in second with 176.54 points and Little Rock in first with 180 total points.
Freshman Brianna Dixon won indoor Female Freshman of the Year and Breanna Miles won indoor Female Track Athlete of Year.
Graduate Student Parker Feuerborn claimed Indoor Male Field Athlete of the Year honors and notched First team All-American honors in the weight throw.
Head Coach Eric Crumpecker won his fifth women's indoor Coach of the Year.
Looking Ahead
The Redhawks will take a brief hiatus for the holiday season and will return Jan. 11 for the Redhawks Invite in the SEMO Student Recreation Center.
