Redhawks Host Lindenwood
Southeast Missouri (6-10, 1-2) plays host to in-state rival Lindenwood (6-9, 0-2) in Ohio Valley Conference action Thursday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m., CT at the Show Me Center.

Two-Game Home Stand
The Redhawks wrap up a brief two-game home stand when Lindenwood comes to Cape Girardeau Thursday. Southeast Missouri opened the stand with a 71-61 win over Bethel (Tenn.) on Jan. 6, its final non-conference game of the season. SEMO plays at home just three times in January.

Series History
Southeast Missouri is 4-1 all-time in its series against Lindenwood. SEMO's only loss in the series came in double overtime (105-102) at LU on Feb. 23, 2023. The Redhawks ended the Lions 2022-23 season when they knocked them out of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament with an 84-65 victory. SEMO is 3-0 against LU at the Show Me Center.

SEMO Ties
Fifth-year Lindenwood Head Coach Kyle Gerdeman and Assistant Coach Anthony Beane have connections to Southeast Missouri. Both were previously assistant coaches with the Redhawks earlier in their careers. Gerdeman joined the Lions from Central Michigan where he worked seven seasons as an assistant coach. Beane was head coach at Three Rivers College for one year prior to Lindenwood.

Non-Conference Wrap
Southeast Missouri completed the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 71-61 win over Bethel (Jan. 6). SEMO concluded non-league play with a 5-8 record this season. All five of those wins were at the Show Me Center.

Lions Winless in OVC Play
Lindenwood is currently last in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. At 0-2, LU is the only team without a conference win early in the league slate. The Lions lost by 11 points to both Southern Indiana (73-62) at home and Western Illinois (68-57) on the road. LU is 1-6 on the road this year.

Earley Burst
Josh Earley scored double figures in back-to-back games for the first time this season. Earley led Southeast Missouri with 18 points at Western Illinois (Jan. 4) and turned around two days later to score 14 vs. Bethel (Jan. 6). He shot 64 percent (16-of-25) from the field and averaged 5.5 rebounds in two starts last week.

Korn Gets 50th Win
Southeast Missouri gave Brad Korn his 50th win as head coach when it beat Bethel, 71-61, on Jan. 6. Korn is now 50-61 overall and 28-30 in the Ohio Valley Conference in his fourth year at the helm.

Eursher Ties Career-High
Evan Eursher came off the bench to tie a career-high 13 points vs. Bethel (Jan. 6). Eursher went 5-of-9 from the field and dished out four assists in 26 minutes. It was his second double-digit game of the season.

4-0 vs. NAIA
Southeast Missouri posted a 4-0 record against NAIA teams this year with home wins over Missouri Baptist (Dec. 3), Harris-Stowe (Dec. 6), Lindsey Wilson College (Dec. 17) and Bethel (Tenn.) (Jan. 6). SEMO dominated those games by a combined 337-221 for a +116 scoring margin.

Six Home Wins 
The Redhawks earned their sixth home win of the season with a 71-61 victory over Bethel (Tenn.) (Jan. 6). SEMO is 6-2 at the Show Me Center with its other wins over Central Arkansas (70-68, Nov. 20), Missouri Baptist (84-56, Dec. 3), Harris-Stowe (95-45, Dec 6), Lindsey Wilson (87-59, Dec. 17) and Southern Indiana (93-91 OT, Dec. 29).

Three Average Double Figures 
Southeast Missouri has three players averaging double figures in the scoring column. Rob Martin leads the way with 12.0 points per game, while Aquan Smart and Adam Larson follow with 10.3 and 10.1 points per contest, respectively.

Top Redhawk
Rob Martin is Southeast Missouri's top scorer this season. Martin, who averages 12.0 points per game, has scored double-digits in nine of his last 11 starts. He leads the Redhawks in assists (52) and minutes played (30 mpg), as well.

Martin Fifth in OVC in Assist/Turnover Ratio
Rob Martin ranks fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference in assist/turnover ratio. Martin leads the Redhawks with 52 assists and has turned the ball over 37 times for a 1.4 ratio. He dished out a season-high seven assists against Southern Indiana (Dec. 29).

Larson Plays Strong
Adam Larson is the Redhawks third- leading scorer with 10.1 points per game through 16 contests. Larson scored a career-high 22 points and made a career-best six 3-pointers vs. Evansville (Nov. 25). A day later, he led the Redhawks with 13 points and hit four more threes at Chattanooga (Nov. 26). Larson started 13-straight games and is tied for first on the team with nine double-digit scoring performances.

3-Point Threat 
Adam Larson ranks sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference in 3-point field goals made. Larson is shooting 43.3 percent on 39-of-90 from beyond the arc. He made 10 of those 3-pointers in two games at the Coke Zero Sugar Classic (Nov. 25-26). Larson buried a career-high six treys vs. Evansville (Nov. 25), falling just three shy of tying his program's single-game record in made threes. Larson drained three or more 3-pointers in eight games this season. He made a 3-pointer in nine-straight contests.

Tale of Two Halves
Through 16 games, Southeast Missouri has been a better team in the second half than it has in the first. SEMO trailed by double figures in the first half a total of seven times and fell behind by 12 or more in the opening five minutes on three occasions. Opponents are outscoring the Redhawks, 601-509, in the first half. Meanwhile, SEMO won the second half eight times and holds a 595-581 advantage in the final 20 minutes. SEMO overcame a 12-point second half deficit to get its first win of the season vs. Central Arkansas (Nov. 20).

About Lindenwood
Lindenwood carries a two-game winning streak to Cape Girardeau this week. LU has the Ohio Valley Conference's lowest scoring offense averaging just 66.4 points per game. The Lions are also last in the league in 3-point field goal percentage (.274) and 3-point field goals made (69). Keenon Cole is LU's top scoring threat averaging 17.2 points per game. Cole ranks third in the OVC in scoring. Darius Beane, son of Lions Assistant Coach Anthony Beane, follows with 13.2 points per contest.
