Southeast Missouri catcher Kat Sackett was named to the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of this year's Softball Championship in Oxford, Alabama.

#2 Eastern Illinois won the OVC Tournament title for the first time with a 2-0 victory over #5 SIU Edwardsville Saturday.

A native of Erie, Colorado, Sackett had a team-high four hits in this year's tournament. Sackett hit .444 (4-for-9) with a double and five total bases. She also had a .444 on-base percentage in three postseason starts. Sackett posted two hits vs. #4 UT Martin (May 11) and SIUE (May 12). Additionally, she was a First-Team All-OVC honoree.

SEMO finished its 2023 season as the OVC Regular-Season Champion with an overall record of 29-14. It was the Redhawks sixth-straight winning campaign.
