Series History
Southeast Missouri holds a 17-2 lead in its all-time series against Southern Indiana. This year marks the first time the teams meet both as NCAA Division I members. SEMO won each of its last six games against the Screaming Eagles. The last time these teams faced each other was 32 years ago on Apr. 23, 1991.

Second in the OVC
Southeast Missouri is in a three-way tie for second in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. SEMO, Tennessee State and Southern Indiana are all 4-1 in league play so far. Eastern Illinois leads the OVC with a 3-0 conference record.

Home Winning Streak
The Redhawks carry a 20-game winning streak into Wednesday's game against Southern Illinois. For the first time in program history, Southeast Missouri went undefeated at home when it finished the 2022 season at 14-0. The Redhawks were the only Ohio Valley Conference team unbeaten on their home diamond a year ago. SEMO also won its final three home games of the 2021 campaign prior to going undefeated at home a year ago.

How Sweep It Is
Southeast Missouri opened Ohio Valley Conference play with a series sweep for the second-straight year. SEMO took down SIU Edwardsville three times in Cape Girardeau last weekend. The Redhawks also swept Tennessee State to start their 2022 campaign.

Last Time Out
The Redhawks split two games at Tennessee State in the Music City on Mar. 18. Southeast Missouri dropped game one of its doubleheader, 3-0, before taking the nightcap, 9-2. Game three of the series was canceled due to cold weather.

Southern Illinois Game Canceled
The Redhawks' midweek game against longtime rival Southern Illinois, initially scheduled for Wednesday, was rained out. Both teams are working to reschedule
a makeup date later this season.

Davis Claims OVC Co-Pitcher of the Week Honors
Southeast Missouri left-hander Marisa Davis was named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 13. Davis, who hails from Kansas City, Missouri, registered a 2-0 record and 0.78 ERA in three appearances and one start to help lead Southeast Missouri to its series sweep of SIU Edwardsville. She allowed only one earned run and just two runs in nine total innings. She gave up just four hits and struck out nine in that span. Davis had a season-high four strikeouts vs. the Cougars in game three. The OVC Pitcher of the Week honor is the first of Davis' career.

Redhawks Top OVC in Pitching
The Redhawks lead the Ohio Valley Conference with a 2.49 ERA this season. SEMO pitchers have combined for six complete games, four saves and two shutouts through 19 contests. Marisa Davis is third among league leaders in ERA (1.81) and Delaney Kell is second in opposing batting average (.169). Meanwhile, Paytience Holman is tied for 11th in the OVC in strikeouts (30).

Shore Homers Twice
First baseman Aubrie Shore homered twice in a game for the first time in her career to lead Southeast Missouri to its 9-2 victory over Tennessee State (Mar. 18). Shore hit a leadoff solo home run in the second and delivered a three-run shot in the top of the seventh. She now leads the Redhawks in home runs this year.

Tucker and Rickermann Lead the Way
Infielders Alyson Tucker and Abigail Rickermann lead the team hitting .311 and .308, respectively, after 19 games this season. Tucker has started all 19 games, while Rickermann has made 12 starts thus far.

Everyday Starters
Five Redhawks, including Paige Halliwill, Kat Sackett, Aubrie Shore, Alyson Tucker and Kynzie Wrigley have started all 19 games for Southeast Missouri in 2023. Halliwill started every game in center field, Wrigley has been in the starting lineup every game at third base and Shore has started all of SEMO's contests at first. Halliwill leads the team in hits (17) and runs (10).

Great Win for the Program
With its 1-0 win over Ole Miss (Mar. 5), Southeast Missouri picked up its 14th win against a SEC foe in program history. It marked the third time in the last six years where SEMO has upended a SEC team under Head Coach Mark Redburn. The Redhawks are now 14-70 all-time against SEC schools.

OVC Openers
The Redhawks moved to 21-10 in Ohio Valley Conference openers with their 4-2 victory over SIU Edwardsville (Mar. 10). Southeast Missouri started league action with a win in 10 of the last 13 seasons.

Redhawks Heating Up
After starting the 2023 season at 0-3, Southeast Missouri has gone 11-5 in its last 16 contests to move to 11-8 this year. SEMO went 4-2 during its spring break last week.

On Deck
Southeast Missouri heads to regional rival Southern Illinois for a midweek matchup on Mar. 28.
