CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri Track & Field will travel to Starkville, Mississippi to compete in the Mississippi State Bulldog Relays Thursday, March 23 - Saturday, March 25. The Redhawks will be competing at the Mike Sanders Track Complex.
Thursday's events will be the women's and men's hammer throw beginning at 12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively.
Friday's field events are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. with the women's discus and ending with the women's and men's triple jump at 5:30 p.m.
The running events will start at 5:00 with the women's 4x800-meter relay.
Saturday's field events will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the women's javelin and concluding with the men's javelin at 2:30 p.m.
The running events are scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m. with the women's 4x100-meter relay and end with the men's 4x400 starting at 4:55 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Redhawks last competed at the South Alabama Invite Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18 where they had eight first place finishes and recorded multiple new personal bests.
In the men's hammer throw,
Parker Feuerborn and
Quinton Maxwell both recorded new PR's. Feuerborn threw a 210'10" (64.26m) picking up a second-place finish, as Maxwell threw for 140'2" (42.73m) for his new personal-best.
Todjai Ross finished third in the women's triple jump with a 35'0.25 mark.
In the men's high jump, Luke Hatfield Jackson finished with a bronze medal with a jump of 6'6.25" (1.99m).
Laila Hardin and
Leanza Dwaah both recorded new personal bests in the women's 400-meter. Hardin placed second with a time of 57.20 and Dwaah finished right behind her crossing the line at 57.98 (3rd).
In the men's 100-meters, Chris Johnson finished with the fastest time and set a new PR crossing the line in 10.67. Johnson also picked up a third-place finish in the 200-meter with a time of 2.97.
The women's javelin saw Jaden Knight place first and finish with a new personal best throwing for 150'4" (45.82m).
Breanna Miles got the gold in the 400-meter finishing with a time of 56.63. Miles finished first in the 200-meter as well crossing the line at 24.44.
In the men's shot put
Dylan Clark placed first with a throw of 52'10.75" (16.12m).
The Freshman
Clara Billing found herself on top of the podium in the pole vault with a vault of 12'8" (3.86m).
Chris Johnson finished first in the men's long jump. Johnson jumped 23'10.25" (7.27m).
Josiah Kilgore competed in the men's javelin finishing on top of the podium throwing for 191'11" (58.51m).
Looking Ahead
The Redhawks will be competing in their first home meet of the outdoor season when they host the Joey Haines Invitational at the Abe Stuber Track Complex Friday, March 31 through Saturday, April 1 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
