MARLBORO, N.J. – The 2024 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association has released its 2024 Preseason Poll that is voted on by members of the WGCA, the association announced on Friday morning.
For the first time in Head Coach
Ashley Lawson's six-year career at the helm of SEMO Gymnastics, the Redhawks have received votes to be regarded amongst the nation's best.
Southeast Missouri received 17 points in the preseason voting. 11 more points than the next closest Midwest Independent Conference school as Lindenwood received six points, Texas Woman's (5), and Illinois State (4).
Oklahoma was ranked as the nation's top team entering the 2024 season. OU received 1,709 points (36 first-place votes).
Southeast Missouri will hold their annual Red & Black Scrimmage this evening, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m., CT. inside Houck Field House.
They will commence the 2024 regular season after the new year on Saturday, January 6, when they take place in the Missouri Quad-Meet. Competition is slated to begin at 6 p.m., in Columbia, Mo.
