CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics set a new all-time overall team score on Friday night, registering a 196.175 for the second overall victory of the season against Texas Woman's University (193.325).

Head Coach Ashley Lawson had this to say about Friday night's performance: "I was happy with the way that the girls took last week's performance into tonight. Everyone was dialed in from the beginning with energy in warm-ups to the final rotation. It was good to see the girls compete at a high-level and set new records as a team, moving towards Sunday."

SEMO surpassed a team score record that was previously set on March 14, 1997 against Iowa. The previous mark was 196.025 as SEMO set a new record in impressive fashion.

Going along with the team awards, the Redhawks set a new high score on the Bars rotation. Led by Lindsay Ockler with a 9.925, SEMO set a new team high for the rotation with a 49.325 passing the previous record of 49.250 (March 3, 2014).

Jolie Miller hit a 9.900 and Janelle Lopez registered a 9.875 to round out the top three for the Redhawks.

SEMO began the night on the Vault with two Redhawks registering a pair of impressive 9.800. Lindsay Ockler and Lydia Webb achieved the score to lead the Redhawks in the rotation.

Madison Greene (9.725), Janelle Lopez (9.750), and freshman Taylor Ingle (9.675) set the next highest scores for SEMO to start the meet off on the right foot.

As a team, SEMO registered a 48.750 on the Vault.

As SEMO set new school-records all over the Bars, the Redhawks then transitioned to the Beam.

Nyah Reader headlined the Beam rotation for SEMO with an impressive 9.875 in the sixth-slot.

Taylor Ingle continued her hot start to the season registering a 9.850 in the third-slot for SEMO. Ingle's night was the first night that she did not compete on all four rotations for the Redhawks.

Junior Lydia Webb and Molly Maxwell registered a 9.750 and 9.775, respectively, to lead the Redhawks to a 48.850 overall score in the third rotation.

The final rotation for SEMO came on the floor with the Redhawks flourishing on the final routines.

Molly Maxwell led off for SEMO and hit a 9.700 to get things rolling for the Redhawks as the next five all registered above 9.800.

Lindsey Moffitt and Madison Greene hit a 9.875 from the third and sixth-slot, respectively, as SEMO looked to close the door on the dual.

Senior Jordan Jones hit a 9.800 on the floor from the fourth spot to continue her comeback from last season's injury. The Buford, Ga.-native received a 9.75 & 9.85 for her overall score.

A 9.850 from Junior Lydia Webb and Sophomore Nyah Reader put the meet out of reach as SEMO wrapped things up with a 49.250 score on the floor.

TWU's Alix Pierce, the reigning MIC Gymanst of the Week, hit a 9.850 on the floor to tie the highest score for the Pioneers on the rotation.

TWU registered a 193.325 as the defending 2022 MIC champions fell on Friday night.
