CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics hosted the home opening tri-meet on Saturday, as Centenary (MIC) and first-year program Greenville came to Cape Girardeau to battle the Redhawks at Houck Field House.

SEMO picked up the first victory of the 2023 campaign, registering a season-high 193.350 to defeat both visitors.

Centenary registered a 188.30 in the first competition for the Ladies in 2023, as Greenville registered a 180.475 on Saturday afternoon.

Lydia Webb, the Wylie, Texas-native, led the Redhawks on Saturday in the all-around category registering a 38.525 overall score. Her highest score came on the floor routine where Webb received a 9.725.

On the final three rotations, Webb registered a 9.675 on Beam, a 9.625 on the Bars, and a 9.500 on the Vault.

Reigning Newcomer of the Week in the MIC, Taylor Ingle, was second for the Redhawks in the all-around category for the second week in a row. Ingle registered a 38.350 for the meet.

Ingle's best performance came during the floor routine as she received a 9.675 in the first spot.

SEMO's Jordan Jones, Nyah Reader, and Lindsay Ockler registered the highest score(s) in the meet with each receiving a 9.800. Jones and Reader received a 9.800 on the floor routine, while Ockler scored the same on the vault.

Ockler, who won the Bars routine last week at Lindenwood, continued her impressive start to 2023 with a 9.725 on the Bars to lead SEMO.

Nyah Reader led the Redhawks on the Beam rotation. Reader received a 9.750 from the sixth slot in the SEMO rotation. As a team, SEMO registered a 48.200 team score in the Beam competition.

Sophomore Madison Greene had a nice showing on the floor, registering a 9.775 which was the second-highest score in the rotation for the Redhawks.

As a team, SEMO had the best outing on the floor. The Redhawks yielded a 48.800 score on the floor, which was the highest score of any team, on any rotation for the afternoon.

The Redhawks scored a 48.300 on Vault, a 48.200 on Beam, and a 48.050 on the Bars to conclude Saturday's competition.

SEMO will be back in action next Friday, Jan. 20, when they take part in the Tennessee Collegiate Classic in Nashville, Tenn. Competition is set to begin at 7 p.m., CT.
