Redhawks Hit 192.750 in Regular-Season Finale Saturday Ahead of 2022 MIC Championship

NORMAL, Ill. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics totaled a team-score of 192.750 for second in a dual meet with Illinois State Saturday evening at the Redbird Arena. ISU took first at the competition with 195.350 in the regular-season finale ahead of next week's 2022 Midwest Independent Conference Championship. 
 
Anna Kaziska, the reigning MIC Gymnast of the Week, won the floor title with a career-best matching 9.950 in the third rotation Saturday.
 
Lydia Webb finished third in the all-around competition with 38.075 and Molly Maxwell was fourth (37.825). 
 
The Redhawks notched a 48.000 on bars to open the road dual.
 
Lindsay Ockler led SEMO with a career best 9.875 to finish as the runner-up Saturday. Ockler, a freshman from Huson, Montana, improved on her personal best after tallying her second career 9.850 last week at Texas Woman's quad meet (March 6). 
 
Jolie Miller posted a 9.775 in the anchor position. 
 
Lydia Webb added a 9.725 and Ashley Albrecht led off the bars lineup with a 9.675.
 
SEMO then added a 47.400 on vault in the second rotation.
 
Ockler paced the Redhawks with a 9.825 to finish second overall at the dual. The mark was her second in as many meets and third 9.825 achieved in 2022 on vault. She has now posted a 9.800 or higher on vault in five-straight competitions. 
 
Madison Greene, a freshman from Crestwood, Kentucky, added a 9.625 in her debut on the event. 
 
Nyah Reader and Molly Maxwell both chipped in 9.500s in the first and fifth lineup slots, respectively. 
 
SEMO then registered a 49.000 on floor for the Redhawks' second score of 49.000 or higher in 2022 on the discipline.
 
Kaziska matched a career high 9.950 to capture her 10th event title in 2022 (47 career titles). It was Kaziska's second 9.950 in just over two weeks. The floor score ranks tied for fifth all-time in SEMO program history with Alexis Traylor (2004) and Kate Farrington (1995).
 
Kaziska, a senior from Louisville, Kentucky, hasn't scored lower than a 9.800 on floor in the last eight SEMO competitions. 
 
Greene added a 9.850 for her sixth score of 9.800 or higher in 2022 on floor. 
 
Maxwell added a 9.775 and Webb finished with 9.750. 
 
Ockler chipped in a 9.675 to round out the SEMO scorers Saturday. 
 
SEMO wrapped up the dual meet with a 48.350 on beam. 
 
Kaziska tied for second overall at the dual meet with a 9.775.
 
Anna Speller, Reader, and Webb all chipped in identical 9.650s in the second, third, and fourth SEMO lineup spots. 
 
Miller added a 9.625 and Maxwell concluded the event with 9.600. 
 
SEMO next travels to Denton, Texas, for the 2022 MIC Championship on Friday, March 18. First rotation of the Championship is scheduled for 5 p.m., CT at the Kitty Magee Arena on the campus of Texas Woman's.
