CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics head coach
Ashley Lawson announced Wednesday the team has inked two student-athletes during the early signing period. Taylor Ingle and Sydney Crouch will join the team next fall for the 2023 season.
Taylor Ingle, a Coppell, Texas native, will graduate from Coppell High School in 2022.
The daughter of Randall Ingle and Lisa Acuña, Taylor Ingle, was a state, regional and National qualifier in her junior year.
She also qualified for state as a sophomore before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In her freshman season, Ingle was a state and regional qualifier while being selected as a national alternate.
She trains at Texas Dream Gymnastics and has been at the gym for 13 years. Alicia Browning, Ned Lang and Kim Zmeskal-Burdette coach Ingle at Texas Dream Gymnastics.
Ingle was a member of the 2018 Region 3 National Championship team and most recently won the 2021 state championship with Texas Dream Gymnastics.
Taylor Ingle is the baby of the family with two older sisters, Karsynn and Sydney. Sydney, is a member of the softball team at the University of North Texas.
Taylor Ingle also has four dogs in Mags, Ace, Tyson, and Taz.
She intends to major in Nursing at SEMO.
Sydney Crouch, who comes to Cape Girardeau by way of Coral Springs, Florida, will graduate from Coral Springs Charter School in 2022.
The daughter of Criss and Joi Crouch, Sydney Crouch, is a member of the American Twisters club under the instruction of Gary Anderson and Christy Ramirez.
Crouch was a State, Regional and National Qualifier in 2021 during her junior year. As a freshman in 2019, she qualified for state and regionals.
Crouch was also a state qualifier in 2020 before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the classroom, Crouch is a member of the National Honors Society.
She intends to major in Exercise Science at SEMO.
