Women's Results Men's Results

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri's men's cross country team placed third and the women took fifth at the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle Invitational Friday.

SEMO tallied 90 points in the men's 8K race and 118 during the women's 5K.

Justin Splitt was the Redhawks top finisher on the men's side. Splitt ran a time of 26:28.4 for 13th place.

Schuyler Ogden (27:10.8, 20th), Seth Gleason (27:18.2, 22nd), Clayton Eftink (27:39.8, 24th) and Nick Cimmarusti (27:47.6, 25th) completed the top five placewinners.

Madelyn Gray led the women with an 11th-place showing. Gray clocked a time of 19:41.6.

Taylor Fox (20:10.1, 23rd), Jane Boessen (20:18.7, 25th), Maddie Keller (20:19.4, 26th place) and Claire Morrill (20:57.9, 35th) finished behind Gray.

Host Tennessee Tech won the women's race and East Tennessee State claimed first in the men's contest. Murray State, Chattanooga, Austin Peay and Tennessee State competed, as well.

SEMO will get a 15-day layoff before heading to the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Oct. 30. This year's event will be held in Nashville, Tennessee.
