CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri's football team revealed its all black Under Armour uniforms it will wear for its "Black Out" game against longtime rival Southern Illinois on Aug. 29. Kickoff for SEMO's season-opener is set for 6:30 p.m., CT, at Houck Field.
This year marks the 87th meeting in the "War for the Wheel" between the schools. SEMO leads the all-time series, 41-37-8, and currently has the wheel trophy after beating the Salukis, 48-44, in Carbondale a year ago.
Fans are encouraged to wear black when the Redhawks don their new uniforms in 24 days.
SEMO's black jerseys feature red numbers and trim with Redhawks stitched in red across the front. The Redhawk logo is displayed on the side of each shoulder. An Under Armour and Ohio Valley Conference logo reside on the front of the jerseys, as well. Complementing the jerseys are black pants and helmets. The pants have a red stripe on each leg with SEMO embroidered in black lettering inside the red stripe on the left side.
