NEW ORLEANS, La. – Southeast Missouri women's tennis (7-5) took down Loyola New Orleans (6-5) with a 7-0 sweep Tuesday afternoon at the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center. Southeast was victorious over the Wolfpack with three doubles wins and six singles wins in the Redhawks final non-conference dual of the season.

Teona Velkoska,
Anais Emelie and
Sneha Sinha each had two wins (singles and doubles) Tuesday.
Southeast notched three wins in the doubles competition to claim the doubles point to start the meet. Krupa and Velkoska improved to 9-3 in 2019 with a 6-1 decision over Manuela Alban and Catherine Jordan at the no. 2 position.
Tarajova and Emelie then earned their first doubles win together as a team at the third slot. The duo cruised by Nadja Ochsner and Koral Martinez, 6-2.
Zonova and Sinha fought past Arianna Pepper and Gabrielle Terranova, 7-6 (2), at the top spot for their third straight doubles dual win.
SEMO then rallied off six straight wins when the competition moved to singles play.
Tarajova eased by Alban, 6-1, 6-1, at the top position and Velkoska overcame Catherine Jordan, 6-4, 6-0, at no. 4 singles to extend the Redhawks advantage to 3-0.
Zonova then beat Koral Martinez, 6-1, 6-3, at the second slot for her fifth straight victory in 2019.
Krupa made the SEMO lead 5-0 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Arianna Pepper.
Sinha then was the victor at no. 6 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 defeat of Gabrielle Terranova to push her win streak to five.
Emelie clinched the 7-0 sweep for Southeast when she utilized a third set tiebreak to settle her fifth singles match with Nadja Ochsner, 6-3, 6-7, 10-7.
Maja Lundell and
Grace Powderly beat Adriana Munoz and Miranda Cano, 6-4, in an additional doubles match. Lundell also eased past Cano in singles, 6-1, and Powderly defeated Andrea Martinez, 6-4.
Southeast next opens its Ohio Valley Conference slate on Friday, March 22 with a 2 p.m. matchup with UT Martin at the Redhawks Tennis Complex in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
