Redhawks Match Season Highs on Vault and Team Score Sunday at State of Missouri Meet

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics matched its season highs in both the team score (189.800) and on vault (48.200) Sunday at the State of Missouri Meet with Lindenwood and #17 Missouri at the Show Me Center.
Lindenwood won the tri meet with 195.900 and #17 Missouri was second with 195.200 in the Redhawks first home gymnastics meet at the Show Me Center since March 9, 2014 in front of a crowd of 669.
Anna Kaziska captured the floor title with a 9.850 and was second on beam and in the all-around competition. Kaziska posted a career-best all-around total of 39.100 and added a 9.850 on beam.
Lindenwood's Courtney Mitchell won the all-around crown with 39.350.
Southeast tied its season-high vault score of 48.200 to open the State of Missouri Meet. Gabrielle Adams led the Redhawks with a career-best tying 9.800 which was fifth overall at the tri meet. Adams now has four vault scores of 9.800 in her career.
Kaziska was second on SEMO with a 9.750 which tied her personal best. Alana Fischer posted a season best 9.700 for third on the team. Maya Tran (personal best), Michael Sanders and Mackenzie Slee rounded out the Redhawks with identical scores of 9.475.
SEMO then recorded a 46.325 on bars in the second rotation. Fischer led Southeast with a 9.675, which matched her season best. Kaziska chipped in a 9.650 and Allyson Bell registered a 9.450.
In the third rotation, the Redhawks achieved a beam score of 48.000. Kaziska paced the Redhawks with a 9.850 and Fischer had a career best 9.800 for fourth at the meet. Slee and Bell each registered season-best marks of 9.700 and 9.625, respectively.
Southeast ended the tri on floor with a 47.275 behind Kaziska's meet best 9.850. Bell tallied a season high 9.625 followed by Michael Sanders and Fischer who both notched 9.450.
Fischer was fifth in the all-around competition with a career best 38.625.
Southeast next heads to Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Saturday, March 16 at 6 p.m. for a quad meet with Lindenwood, Texas Women's and Arkansas. The Redhawks then travel to Shreveport, Louisiana, for the 2019 Midwest Independent Conference Championships held at Centenary Friday, March 22.
