MURRAY, Ky.– Ja Morant had a double-double 23 points and 12 assists to lead five starters in double figures as Murray State (23-4, 14-2) beat Southeast Missouri (9-20, 4-12), 103-67, Saturday night at the CFSB Center.
The 103 points were MSU's most in an Ohio Valley Conference game this season
MSU never trailed in the game and shot 58.3 percent (21-of-36) from the field en route to building a 25-point halftime lead.
SEMO shot just 26.5 percent on 9-of-34 and was outscored 19-0 on fast breaks in the opening stanza.
MSU built its largest lead at 39 when KJ Williams raced down court to throw down the Racers 17th dunk of the night with 17 seconds remaining.
The Racers ended up with 36 fast break points, 60 points in the paint and 31 points off turnovers. MSU shot 56.9 percent (41-of-72) from the field for the night.
Isaiah Gable led SEMO with 16 points in 18 minutes off the bench. Gable made 6-of-10 shots and knocked down three 3-pointers. Nygal Russell followed with 12 points, while Oscar Kao led the Redhawks with four assists.
SEMO shot 58.3 percent (14-of-24) in the second half and drained 10 three-pointers in the contest.
The Redhawks, who played their final road game, return home to host Tennessee State on Feb. 28.
