Redhawks Conclude Music City Swing
Southeast Missouri (7-15, 2-7) close out its trip to the Music City when it faces Tennessee State (6-15, 3-6) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m., CT, at the Gentry Center.

Halfway Through
Southeast Missouri wrapped up the first half of Ohio Valley Conference play with a 2-7 record. The Redhawks fell to Belmont, 97-71, Thursday. 

Series History
Saturday marks the 48th meeting between Southeast Missouri and Tennessee State. The Tigers hold a 26-21  advantage in the overall series. SEMO won two-straight games and four of the last six meetings against TSU.

Redhawks Fall at Belmont
Southeast Missouri never led in a 97-71 loss at Belmont Thursday. The Redhawks fell victim to an early 12-2 run and never recovered. Thursday's 26-point loss was SEMO's largest of the season.

Brewer Takes Over
For the first time in his career, guard Ledarrius Brewer scored over 20 points in three-straight games when he netted 24 against both SIU Edwardsville (Jan. 24) and Eastern Illinois (Jan. 26), and 22 at Belmont (Jan. 31). Brewer scored 23.3 points per game in that stretch and increased his team-high scoring average to 14.4 points per contest. He has led Southeast Missouri in scoring 10 times this year.  

Season-High From Downtown
Eighteen of Ledarrius Brewer's 22 points against Belmont (Jan. 31) came from 3-point range. Brewer buried a season-high 6-of-8 treys for a 75 percent clip. He now leads Southeast Missouri with 39 three-pointers made and has shot 9-of-16 (56.3 percent) from beyond the arc in his last two starts. 

Free Throw Difference
Thursday marked the 15th time in 22 games where Southeast Missouri was outscored at the free throw line. The Redhawks were outscored 32-4 at the charity stripe in their loss to Belmont (Jan. 31) marking the seventh time they were outscored by double-digits in free throws.  

Caldwell is Back
Freshman Alex Caldwell returned after missing two games with an illness. Caldwell scored 16 points in 26 minutes off the bench at Belmont (Jan. 31). He shot 6-of-12 from the field, knocked down two 3-pointers and grabbed two rebounds in his eighth double-digit scoring game of the season.

McGlothan Rises in Starting Role
Freshman Gabe McGlothan averaged a double-double 13.5 points and 14 rebounds in his first two career starts last week. McGlothan shot 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from the field and pulled down 28 rebounds, while dishing out three assists for the week. He scored a season-high 18 points to go along with 16 rebounds in his first career start vs. SIU Edwardsville (Jan. 24). Two days later, McGlothan just missed a double-double when he scored nine points and tallied 12 boards. He has started each of the last three contests.

All 22 Starts
Sophomore Isaiah Gable is the only Redhawk who has started every game this season. Gable is fourth on the team in scoring with 8.3 points per game and is the team's second-leading scorer in Ohio Valley Conference games (12.2 ppg).

On the Road
The Redhawks are 1-9 in true road games and 3-9 overall outside of Cape Girardeau this season. Southeast Missouri is looking to end a six-game losing streak on the road. The Redhawks are 0-4 in away games during league play and last won on the road on Dec. 4 (77-57, at Mississippi Valley State).

Draining 3s
The Redhawks matched a season-high 14 three-pointers at Florida State (Dec. 17). Southeast Missouri shot 14-of-37 behind the arc with seven treys in each half. SEMO made 11 or more 3-pointers in nine contests. The Redhawks are averaging 8.8 three-point field goals made per game.

Southeast Missouri ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference in 3-pointers made through 22 games this season. The Redhawks drained 195 three-pointers in 544 attempts. 

Defending the Three
The Redhawks rank second in the Ohio Valley Conference and 27th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage defense. Opponents are shooting 29.7 percent from beyond the arc against Southeast Missouri this year. Murray State leads the OVC with a .274 three-point field goal percentage defense.

About Tennessee State
Tennessee State is one spot ahead of Southeast Missour in 10th place in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. The Tigers are coming off a 68-67 win over UT Martin (Jan. 31). TSU snapped a three-game losing streak with the victory. Donte Fitzpatrick-Dorsey leads the Tigers with 15.2 points per game. Kamar McKnight follows with 12.6 points a contest.

Against the Ohio Valley
Southeast Missouri is 21-38 in Ohio Valley Conference play under head coach Rick Ray. The Redhawks best OVC record with Ray at the helm was 9-7 in 2016-17. That year was also the last time SEMO made the OVC Tournament.

Ledarrius Brewer ranks 13th among Ohio Valley Conference leaders in scoring (14.4 ppg), 14th in free throw percentage (.733), 11th in 3-point field goals made (2.0), 13th in defensive rebounds (4.0) and 24th in minutes played (28.6). Sage Tolbert is 12th in the conference in rebounding (6.0 rpg), 14th in offensive rebounds (2.0) and 15th in defensive rebounds (4.0). Alex Caldwell ranks 10th in 3-point field goal percentage (.388) and  Jonathan Dalton is 11th in assists (3.6 apg) 14th in free throw percentage (.733) and fifth in assist/turnover ratio (1.8). Skyler Hogan ranks 15th in scoring (11.6 ppg), 15th in 3-point field goals made (1.7 per game) and 30th in minutes played (27.9).
