After a slow start which saw SEMO fall behind 11-0 in the first 2:19 of the contest, the Redhawks stormed back to tie the game.
VU came out hot knocking down a 3-pointer on three-straight possessions. Scotty Pippen Jr. added a layup to complete the Commodores early surge.

Quatarrius Wilson made a driving layup off a fast break with 1:16 on the clock.
Harris gave SEMO a nice boost off the bench scoring nine points in 12 minutes to lead all scorers at the intermission. VU, which buried five of its first eight treys of the game, cooled off to go 0-of-9 beyond the arc the rest of the first half.
On the Redhawks first possession of the second half, Wilson scored to give SEMO its first lead of the night at the 19:23 mark.
