Series History
This year marks the 24th meeting between Southeast Missouri and Austin Peay. SEMO leads the all-time series, 16-7, and is 8-3 against the Governors in Clarksville, Tennessee. The Redhawks are 8-1 in their last nine matchups with APSU. SEMO is also 9-1 in its previous 10 trips to Clarksville.

Matukewicz vs. Austin Peay
Tom Matukewicz is 4-1 all-time against Austin Peay as a head coach. Matukewicz's four wins are his most versus any Ohio Valley Conference opponent to date. Southeast Missouri came up on the short end of a 38-31 loss the last time it faced APSU on the road (Oct. 21, 2017).

Last Time Against the Governors
All-American tailback Marquis Terry scored the game-winning touchdown on a 2-yard plunge with 15 seconds left to give Southeast Missouri a 31-27 come-from-behind victory over Austin Peay on Oct. 13, 2018. SEMO scored 21 points in the final 15 minutes and used a huge fourth-down conversion to set up its decisive score. On fourth-and-13 at the APSU 40-yard line, Daniel Santacaterina heaved the ball downfield. Jerrick Orr, who is no longer with the Redhawks, jumped over a Governors defender to make a spectacular catch and keep the Redhawks drive alive with less than 30 seconds to go. Terry crossed the goal line two plays later.

Points on the Board
Southeast Missouri averaged just under 40 points per game (39) in its last seven matchups with Austin Peay. The Redhawks scored a total of 273 points and went 6-1 against the Governors in that stretch.

Senior Class
A win against Austin Peay Saturday will make the Redhawk seniors the winningest senior class in the program's NCAA Division I history. Southeast Missouri's senior class, which consists of 20 players, has won a total of 18 games since 2016. The current senior class is tied with the 2010 class that also won 18 games (2007-2010).

Wilkerson Breaks Career Receiving Yards Record
Senior Kristian Wilkerson caught five passes for 124 yards and broke Southeast Missouri's all-time career record in receiving yardage against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5). Wilkerson averaged 24.8 yards per catch in that game. His 2,623 yards surpassed Willie Ponder (2,543, 2001-02) for the new mark.

100-Yard Receiving Games
Kristian Wilkerson notched his second 100-yard receiving performance of the season when he finished with 124 on five catches against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5). It was the eighth 100-yard receiving effort of Wilkerson's career.

Robinson Hat Trick
Mark Robinson ran for a career-high three touchdowns in Southeast Missouri's win over Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5). Robinson scored on runs consisting of two, five and 16 yards. He is the first Redhawk to finish with three or more rushing touchdowns in a game since Marquis Terry had four at Southern Illinois in 2018.

Custis Hits 100
For the first time in his career, Zion Custis ran for over 100 yards when he notched 117 on 18 carries against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5). Custis averaged 6.5 yards per touch and scored the game-winning touchdown on a 13-yard run during the second overtime. He became the fifth different player to rush for over 100 yards in the Ohio Valley Conference this season.

Double Overtime Thriller
The Redhawks scored the final 13 points of the game to survive a 43-37 double overtime thriller against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5). Haidar Zaidan kicked a 51-yard field goal with 31 seconds left to send the game to overtime. Mark Robinson (16 yards) and Zion Custis (13 yards) then scored rushing touchdowns and Southeast Missouri's defense came up with a huge stop to seal the victory. It was the eighth overtime game SEMO was involved in since moving to the NCAA Divsion I ranks in 1991.

Career-High for Calhoun
Derrick Calhoun tallied a career and game-high 12 tackles against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5). Calhoun had six solo tackles and assisted on six others. He also forced a fumble and had one quarterback hurry.

Two in a Row
Southeast Missouri carries a two-game winning streak to Austin Peay Saturday. The Redhawks beat West Virginia State, 56-10, on Sept. 21 and Tennessee Tech, 43-37, on Oct. 5. SEMO is 0-2 away from home this season after falling to then-#13 Montana State (Sept. 7) and Football Bowl Subdivision member Missouri (Sept. 14).

Swift Closing in on 200 Tackles
Outside linebacker Justin Swift is nine tackles away from reaching 200 in his career. Swift has 191 tackles and ranks second on the team with 30 this season. If he hits that mark, he will become the second player on this year's active roster to get 200 or more career tackles. Fellow linebacker Zach Hall (331) is the other.

Red Zone Turnovers
Southeast Missouri turned the ball over inside the red zone for the first time this season when Daniel Santacaterina was intercepted by Adam Swayze in Tennessee Tech's end zone on Oct. 5. The Redhawks had gone 24-straight games without a turnover in the red zone prior to the interception. SEMO has averaged less than two (1.7) turnovers in the red zone per season under head coach Tom Matukewicz.

That Really Happened
Kendrick Tiller made a 35-yard field goal during the third quarter against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5) in rare fashion. Tiller's kick hit both uprights and then bounced off the crossbar before going through to pull Southeast Missouri within four (27-23) at the 3:21 mark. Tiller moved to 3-of-4 in field goals this year.

OVC Play
The Redhawks are 79-136 all-time in Ohio Valley Conference play since joining the league in 1991. Southeast Missouri finished second in the OVC behind Jacksonville State with a 6-2 record in 2018. The six wins were the Redhawks second-most in conference play behind the 2010 OVC Championship team (7-1). SEMO wrapped up a season among the top three in the OVC standings just three times -- 3rd in 1994 (5-3); 1st in 2010 (7-1); 2nd in 2018 (6-2).

Santacaterina Coming Up on 4,000 Total Yards
Daniel Santacaterina is just 21 yards away from reaching 4,000 total yards in his two-year Southeast Missouri career. Santacaterina has 3,702 passing yards and 277 rushing yards for 3,979 yards of total offense as the Redhawks starting quarterback. If Santacaterina hits the 4,000-yard mark, he will join SEMO's top-10 career total offense leaders.

Starting Streaks
Inside linebacker Zach Hall and defensive back Bydarrius Knighten have each started 29-consecutive games. Wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson has logged 20-straight starts, while outside linebacker Justin Swift and quarterback Daniel Santacaterina follow with 19 and 18, respectively.

Three-Headed Monster
Southeast Missouri's backfield trio of junior Mark Robinson, sophomore Zion Custis and redshirt-freshman Geno Hess has been equally impressive thus far. Hess presently leads the Redhawks with 316 yards on 49 carries. Custis follows with 308 yards and Robinson has 291 rushing yards and a team-high six touchdowns on 59 attempts. Hess (4), Custis (3) and Robinson (6) combined for 13 of SEMO's 17 rushing touchdowns this year. Hess (63.2), Custis (61.6) and Robinson (58.4) rank sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively, in the Ohio Valley Conference in rushing. As a team, the Redhawks are second in the OVC and 22nd in the nation in rushing with 211 yards per game.

94 To Go
Zach Hall is on pace to break Southeast Missouri's all-time career tackles record. Hall, who broke the school's single-season record with 168 tackles last season, is 94 away. Robert Haggerty (1993-96) presently holds the all-time career record with 424 stops. Hall has 331 tackles.

Games With a Catch
Senior wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson has caught a pass in 20 consecutive games. Wilkerson had five receptions for 124 yards against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 5). He finished with over 100 receiving yards in a game for the eighth time in his career. He leads the Redhawks with 433 receiving yards in 2019.
