Knott and Keller Finish in the Top 20 as Southeast Places 12th at the Bradley 'Pink' Classic

PEORIA, Ill. – Carli Knott and Maddie Keller posted top 20 finishes as the Southeast Missouri women's cross country team finished 12th out of 23 teams with 336 points Friday at the Bradley 'Pink' Classic held at the Newman Golf Course. Chris Durr led the Redhawks men with a 78th finish as the team totaled 551 points for 19th.
Knott and Keller paced the Southeast women for the fourth straight meet. Knott finished 11th overall out of 180 competitors in the women's 6K Red race with a personal best 21:25.6.
Keller crossed the finish in a career-record time of 21:43.5 for 20th.
Hannah Eastman (22:55.3, 82nd), Claire Morrill (23:18.7, 101st) and Danielle Mohrmann (23:41.5, 122nd) rounded out the scorers for the SEMO women.
Mackenzie Pugh (23:41.6, 123rd), Jane Boessen (23:58.6, 132nd) and Adrienne Brauer (24:40.2, 163rd) also ran in the 6K.
Durr was the top finisher for the men with a personal best 8K time of 25:56.0 for 78th out of a field of 145.
Caleb Cornelius and Aaron Modrow were the second and third fastest Redhawk males. Cornelius posted a time of 26:47.4 for 110th and Modrow finished in 27:00.2 (116th).
Kory Snyder (122nd, 27:29.4) and Austin Perkins (125th, 27:35.7, PR) also scored for the SEMO men.
Terrico Garrett (127th, 28:04.7), Griffin Bailey (128th, 28:05.2), and Trevor Falco (139th, 28:34.1) also represented the Redhawks in the 8K.
Bradley won the women's 6K Red race title with 67 points. Abby Ripperda of South Dakota finished first overall in the race in 20:49.9.
Drake was the top men's 8K Red race team, totaling 81 points. Dustin Hatfield was the top finisher in 24:00.0, running unattached. Irwin Loud of Illinois was second with a time of 24:11.6.
Southeast next takes some time off before the Ohio Valley Conference Championship slated for Saturday, Nov. 2 in Edwardsville, Illinois, at the SIUE Cross Country Course. The men will run an 8K at 9 a.m. followed by the women's 5K set for 10 a.m.
