CLARKSVILLE, TENN. – Southeast Missouri women's volleyball (14-11, 6-6) fell to Ohio Valley Conference leader Austin Peay (22-3, 11-1), 0-3 (15-25, 25-20, 25-16), Saturday afternoon at the Winfield Dunn Center.

The Governors recorded 50 kills on a .432 team hitting percentage as Southeast didn't have an answer for APSU.

Annie Wehrheim and
Haley Bilbruck each posted a team best of 10 kills in the match.Â

SEMO recorded a team-hitting clip of .216 behind a .281 in the first set and a second set of .278.

Austin Peay took a 1-0 lead in the match 25-15 on a .500 hitting clip.

In the second frame, Southeast jumped out to a 4-0 lead before the Governors claimed the lead, 15-10, after a 4-0 rally.

A kill from Cecily Gable extended Austin Peay's advantage to 19-12 and prompted a Redhawks timeout. Wehrheim then knocked a kill as SEMO came as close as 24-20 before Jenna Panning connected with a winner to push the Governors lead to 2-0 in the match.

Austin Peay then closed out the contest with a 25-16 third set.

Claire Ochs posted 28 assists with seven digs in the match.

Ally Dion had 11 digs.

The Redhawks next host SIUE on Friday, Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Houck Field House and then take on Eastern Illinois Saturday (Nov. 3) at 5 p.m. on Senior Day.
