CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Southeast Missouri (12-4, 4-1) plays host to Ohio Valley Conference foe UT Martin (9-3, 5-0) Tuesday. Start time is 2 p.m., CT, at the Redhawks Tennis Complex.
"We are excited to host UT Martin on Tuesday," said head coach
Mary Beth Gunn. "We both have teams with similar results in conference play, so there should be some good matchups in both doubles and singles."
SEMO is currently riding a four-match winning streak in conference play. The Redhawks are currently 18-12 in singles, boasting a strong .600 winning percentage in conference play. SEMO also has a .571 winning percentage in doubles after going 4-2 last weekend to bring their record to 8-6.
UTM is on a nine-match win streak after opening the season 0-3. The Skyhawks are tied for first in the OVC with SIU Edwardsville, as each have identical 5-0 records in conference play. Senior Sarah Candeloro leads the Skyhawks with an 8-2 singles record at the top of the lineup. She is one victory shy of 50 in her career.
