EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Southeast Missouri (17-21, 2-10) dropped two games to SIU Edwardsville (34-8, 10-2), 4-0, 5-4, Friday at Cougar Field.

SEMO scored two runs to take a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh inning of game two.

Mykaela Arellanes drove home
Claudia Gallo on a triple to center and
Rachel Anderson scored Arellanes on a double to right center.

A solo home run by Sarah Lopesilvero sent the game to extra innings in the bottom of the seventh.

Allison Smiley's one-out single scored Haley Chambers-Book to end the game with one out in the bottom of the 10
th.

Ashley Koziol worked six innings with a strikeout, but received a no-decision. Chambers-Book (21-5) struck out six and allowed three hits in four innings out of the bullpen.

Mackenzie Hoelting (1-5) pitched 3.1 no-hit innings. Hoelting relieved starter
Madeline Krumrey who struck out three in six innings.

SEMO outhit SIUE, 9-6. Arellanes and Anderson led the Redhawks with two hits each.

Chambers-Book struck out nine and allowed only two hits in six innings to fuel a 4-0 shutout in game one.

SIUE scored two runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings.

SEMO posed its biggest threat in the top of the seventh with the bases loaded and two outs. Addison Barnousk, however,i fouled to end the game.
Chambers-Book picked up the win, while
Alexis Estes (5-7) suffered the loss.
