CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri soccer (4-6-3, 1-2-3) and Austin Peay (7-5-2, 2-3-2) played to a 1-1 draw Friday evening.

The match served as SEMO's final road match of the regular season. The Redhawks will return to Houck Field for the final four regular-season matches beginning Sunday against Belmont.

Despite being outshot 15-11 in the match, Southeast matched the Govs' four overtime shots to make the most of double overtime.
Esmie Gonzales, who scored SEMO's lone goal, led the way offensively all evening with four shots, putting two on goal.
Lauren Kaempfe had three shots, a new season high for the junior.Â

Kindra Lierz played the entire 110 minutes in goal for the Redhawks. The senior allowed one goal and made five saves.

Gonzales put the Redhawks on the board in the 30
th minute. Kaempfe broke away and took the ball down field. She sent a pass ahead to Gonzales who fired to her right and into the far upper 90 of the goal.

Gonzales' goal is the second first-half goal SEMO has scored in conference play this season.

Austin Peay's Kirsten Robertson used her 10
th goal of the season in the 36
th minute to tie the match at a goal apiece.Â

The opening stanza ended with the Redhawks and Govs all knotted at one goal each. At half, SEMO trailed in shots 6-3. Along with Gonzales and Kaempfe,
Paige Blankenheim also had a shot. Â

Southeast had a couple chances on set pieces 12 minutes into the second half. Kaempfe and Karstens each had a header off Gonzales corner kicks.

The second-half shot differential was much closer as SEMO had four shots to APSU's five as both teams were held scoreless in the half.

For the fourth time in OVC play, the game was sent into overtime.

Gonzales and Kaempfe each had shots blocked in the first overtime while Robertson fired off all three of APSU's shots in the period. Gonzales added two more including landing a shot on goal in the final overtime.

SEMO hosts Belmont Sunday at 2 p.m. It will be SEMO's Pink Up game to raise breast cancer awareness.
