MARTIN, Tenn. –Jacolby Mobley scored a game-high 25 points and UT Martin (12-8, 2-3) used a big second half to beat Southeast Missouri (7-13, 2-3), 79-69, Saturday night at the Elam Center.

UTM, which trailed at halftime, shot 65.2 percent (15-of-23) and outscored SEMO, 41-30, in the second stanza.

In a game that featured seven ties and six lead changes, UTM took a 44-43 lead on a 3-pointer by Mobley with 17:33 left to play.

After
Tahj Eaddy's jumper tied the game at 53-53 at the 11:27 mark, the Skyhawks put together a 13-2 run to build a double-digit lead with a little over eight minutes to go. UTM made six-straight field goals during that stretch.

SEMO managed to cut UTM's lead to five on a layup by
Jamaal Calvin with 2:56 left and that was the Redhawks final basket of the contest.

The Redhawks missed each of their final six shots, including four from 3-point range and UTM made 5-of-6 free throws to finish off the win.

SEMO knocked down seven 3-pointers in a back-and-forth first half.

Denzel Mahoney drained a pair of threes in the first two minutes of the game to help get the Redhawks off to a good start. He later made two free throws to cap an 8-0 run that gave SEMO a 14-9 lead with 14:34 left to play.

SEMO took its largest lead of the half when it went up by six points twice in the last six minutes.
Trey Kellum's jumper gave the Redhawks a 32-26 cushion at the 5:51 mark and
Antonius Cleveland's alley-oop dunk off a pass from
Jaylen Benton grabbed SEMO a 39-33 advantage with 1:09 remaining.

UTM answered with five-straight points to narrow SEMO's lead to 39-38 at the half. The Redhawks built a halftime lead for the sixth time this season and led at the intermission for the second-straight contest.

Mobley, one of four starters in double figures, shot 8-of-14 from the field, buried five 3-pointers and went 4-of-4 at the free throw line to lead the Skyhawks. Kedar Edwards followed with 17 points and six rebounds, while Matthew Butler added 13 and Javier Martinez pitched in 12.

UTM shot 60.4 percent (29-of-48) from the field for the night.

Mahoney scored a season-high 23 points and made a perfect 12-of-12 free throws to lead SEMO. Cleveland also reached double figures with 16 points, while Kellum pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.

The Redhawks shot only 29.2 percent (7-of-24) in the second half and 39.6 percent (21-of-53) with 11 three-pointers for the game.
