SPRINGFIELD, Mo. --Â Southeast Missouri (1-5) loses a close match to the University of Nebraska-Omaha (5-6) on Saturday afternoon. The Mavericks edged the Redhawks 4-3, snapping a three-game losing streak.
"We got off to a good start in doubles but struggled in singles today," said head coach

In doubles play, Southeast collected two wins to claim the point.
Viviana Ortiz and
Emilia Montenegro finished first in the No. 3 position, beating UNO's Rebecca Stafford and Allison Johnson, 6-2.
Isabella Krupa and

Mariya Kostiuk and
Anais Emelie (No. 1) dropped their match, 6-3, against Michelle Lo and Hylan Miller.
The Redhawks tallied two wins in singles play. Majtan (No. 3) won her match in convincing fashion with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Matricardi. Annisa Warasant took care of business in the No. 6 position, beating Johnson 7-5, 6-0.
