MARTIN, Tenn. --Â Southeast Missouri (1-13, 0-4) dropped a 7-0 decision to UT Martin (6-10, 3-1) Tuesday.
UTM went 2-0 in doubles to claim the point.
Emilia Montenegro and
Ana Canahuate-Torres dropped their match, 6-1, to Burcu Tari and Elina Geut in the No. 3 position. In the No. 2 spot,
Mila Majtan and
Isabella Krupa lost to Hitomi Naito and Jermima Potter, 6-3.
Mariya Kostiuk and
Anais Emelie (No. 1) did not complete their match against Sarah Candeloro and A. Jumamukhbetova.
Kostiuk took Candeloro to a tiebreaker after splitting the first two sets, 4-6, 7-5, but fell 10-3 at the top of the singles lineup. Krupa faced Naito in the No. 2 position and came up short in a tiebreaker, 2-6, 7-5, 10-7. Majtan (No. 3), Warasanti (No. 4), Emelie (No. 5) and Montenegro (No. 6) all lost in straight sets.
Southeast returns home to host Austin Peay Friday. Start time is 2 p.m., CT, at the Redhawks Tennis Complex.
