MARTIN, Tenn. – For only the second time in program history, the Southeast Missouri baseball team is 7-0 in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Redhawks' (15-8) fifth-straight win came Thursday evening over UT Martin (7-15, 2-5 OVC), 19-6.

Every Redhawk in the starting lineup recorded a hit Thursday while seven drove in runs.
Brian Lees was 3-for-5, drove in four runs, scored two, and drew a walk.

Joey Lucchesi (5-1) picked up his league-leading fifth victory in the start. Lucchesi pitched five and two-thirds innings. He allowed three runs on seven hits. Lucchesi struck out eight hitters and walked four.

Jacob Lawrence earned a three-inning save after working three and a third innings out of the pen. Lawrence allowed three runs on four hits and fanned six hitters, including striking out the side in the ninth inning.

Dan Holst jumpstarted the second inning with a double to right field. With Holst on third and
Chris Caffrey on second,
Brian Lees singled over the third baseman's head to plate both runners on take a 2-0 lead on the Skyhawks.
Chris Osborne immediately followed with a two-run home run, his third home run of the season, to inflate the early lead to 4-0.

The Skyhawks got one run back in the bottom of the inning. A sacrifice fly to right by Nick Proto plated Matt Hirsch to narrow the Redhawk lead to 4-1.

A walk, a single, and another walk loaded the bases with no out in the top of the third for the Redhawks.
Ryan Rippee plated two runs with a base hit to right center. Back-to-back RBI singles by Lees and Osborne widened the lead to 8-1. A run scored on a groundout by
Trevor Ezell followed by a run that scored on a two-out error. The Redhawks sent 10 men to the plate in the inning. Southeast led the Skyhawks 10-1 after two and a half innings.Â

Josh Hauser singled to center to plate Mike Murphy in the bottom of the fourth. After four innings, Southeast led 10-2.

Murphy began the bottom of the sixth inning with a triple to center. He scored on a groundout by Andrew Castillo, 10-3 Redhawks.

The Redhawks opened a 10-run lead in the top of the fifth inning.
Garrett Gandolfo's one-out hit was the first Redhawk hit since the fifth inning. Gandolfo scored all the way from first on a single to center by
Branden Boggetto. Boggetto, who took second on an error by the centerfielder on the play, moved up to third on a wild pitch then scored on a wild pitch. Rippee drew a two-out walk then was driven home on a double to right center by Caffrey, inflating the lead to 13-3.

The Skyhawks plated three runs off
Jacob Lawrence in the bottom of the eighth inning to make a dent in the Redhawk lead, 13-6, heading to the ninth.

Southeast recorded its second six-run inning in the ninth. Back-to-back two-out bases-loaded walks to Holst and Rippee plated a pair of runs. Caffrey drove in a pair of runs on a single to center. A wild pitch scored Rippee. Lees picked up his fourth RBI of the night on a base hit to center, widening the lead to 19-6, a new season-high for the Redhawks.

Boggetto, Caffrey, and Osborne all had two hits in the game while Rippee, Caffrey, and Osborne all had three RBI.

Murphy led the way for the Skyhawks with four hits and scored three runs.

UT Martin used seven total pitchers in the game. Starter Alan Rickman (0-1) was pegged with the loss.
