After a six-day layoff, Southeast Missouri (3-2) returns to action when it visits UMKC (4-2) Monday. Tip-off is set for 6:35 p.m., CT, at Municipal Auditorium.

Series History
In-state rivals Southeast Missouri and UMKC hook up for the 10th time Monday. The Redhawks currently lead the all-time series by a count of 7-2. Southeast goes for its third-straight win in the series after beating the Kangaroos, 66-65, on Dec. 22, 2012 (Kansas City) and, 91-81, on Jan. 29, 2014 (Cape Girardeau). The Redhawks are 3-1 all-time against UMKC in Kansas City.
Against Division I Missouri Schools
Southeast and UMKC are among only five NCAA Division I schools in the state of Missouri. The Redhawks own an overall record of 65-109 against such opponents with a 7-2 mark vs. UMKC, 0-8 mark vs. Missouri, 4-9 record vs. Saint Louis and 54-90 record vs. Missouri State. Southeast faces Missouri State twice in December.
November Ends
The Redhawks close out the first month of their season at UMKC. A victory Monday will give Southeast a winning record in November for the first time since 2013-14 (5-2).

Rick Ray returns home to Kansas City to coach against UMKC for the first time in his career. Born in Gardena, California, Ray moved to Kansas City with his family when he was six years old. He and UMKC head coach Kareem Richardson were assistant coaches together at Indiana State from 1999-2002.
Ahead of the Curve
The Redhawks, who won just five games in 2015-16, are two wins away from matching that win total. Southeast picked up its third win with an 83-72 victory over UT Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 22). The Redhawks didn't get their third win until Jan. 19 of last season (84-61, vs. Hannibal-LaGrange).
Busy Week
Monday marks the start of a three-game week for Southeast. After their trip to UMKC, the Redhawks return home to host Central Arkansas (Dec. 1). Southeast then rounds out the week for a nationally-televised ESPN2 matchup at Indiana (Dec. 4). The Hoosiers are #3 and #5 in the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Top-25 polls, respectively.

The Redhawks enter the week ranked ranked first in the Ohio Valley Conference in turnover margin (+7.2) and second in steals (9.6 spg), assist/tunover ratio (73 assists/54 turnovers) and defensive rebound percentage (74.8 pct.).
Balanced Scoring
Southeast has had multiple double-digit scorers in all five games this season. Most recently, thee individuals scored double figures vs. UT Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 22).
Antonius Cleveland scored 21 points, while

Double-Double
Antonius Cleveland turned in Southeast's first double-double of the season when he scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds vs. UT Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 22). Cleveland, limited to just nine minutes in the first half due to early foul trouble, erupted for 17 points and nine boards in the final stanza. He shot 8-of-15 from the field and 5-of-7 at the free throw line en route to his team-high eighth career double-double.
Mahoney to the Line
Freshman
Denzel Mahoney has gone three of his five starts without missing a free throw. Mahoney has made six-consecutive free throws and is shooting a team-best 83.3 percent (15-of-18) from the charity stripe. He made a season-high four free throws vs. Hannibal-LaGrange (Nov. 13) and at Bradley (Nov. 18).
Cleveland Notches 20
Antonius Cleveland scored 20 or more points in two games this season. Cleveland notched a game-high 20 points at Western Illinois (Nov. 16) and a season-high 21 points vs. UT Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 22). He has eleven 20-point games in his career.
Turnover Low
Jamaal Calvin has only four turnovers in five starts this season. Calvin went three-straight contests without a turnover. He is tied for sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference in 3-point field goal percentage (50 pct., 7-of-14).
