Hosket Over 2,000 Yards
Jesse Hosket, who ranks third in the Ohio Valley Conference with 220.3 passing yards per game, is one of four quarterbacks in the league to throw for over 2,000 yards this season. Hosket is currently seventh all-time on Southeast's single-season passing yards list with 2,203. He has also thrown 11 touchdown passes in 10 starts this year. Hosket is the second Southeast quarterback in three years to throw for 2,000 or more yards. In all, 10 players have thrown for 2,000 or more yards in a season at Southeast since 1962.
Single-Season Lists
Jesse Hosket has placed himself on several single-season top 10 lists in his first year as Southeast's starting quarterback. Hosket enters the week ranked seventh in passing yards (2,203) and completions (169), and sixth in pass attempts (331).
Wilkerson is Rolling
Kristian Wilkerson posted his second 100-yard receiving performance of the season when he had four catches for a career-high 131 yards at UT Martin (Nov. 12). Wilkerson leads the Redhawks with 692 receiving yards and 15 catches consisting of 20 or more yards. He has caught a pass in nine of 10 games this season and ranks second in the Football Championship Subdivision in yards per reception (21.6).
100 in Sight
Kicker
Ryan McCrum is two extra points away from reaching 100 in his career. McCrum has made 50-consecutive PATs, going 29-of-29 in 2015 and 21-of-21 this season. He last missed a PAT with 3:32 left in the fourth quarter vs. Jacksonville State on Nov. 22, 2014. McCrum is 98-of-102 all-time in his four-year Southeast career.
Finish Strong
Southeast is looking to end its 2016 season on a positive note. The Redhawks last ended a season with a win in 2008 (33-30, at Austin Peay on Nov. 22). It has been seven years since Southeast closed out a season with a victory.
In Position
With a win Saturday, the Redhawks will finish 4-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference. If that happens, it will mark the first time Southeast ends a season at .500 or better since it won the league title and made the NCAA Playoffs in 2010 (7-1). The Redhawks have had no more than three conference wins in each of their last five seasons.
OVC Update
Jacksonville State and UT Martin will play for the Ohio Valley Conference this week in Jacksonville, Alabama. The Redhawks enter their final week of the season tied for sixth in the standings with Eastern Illinois. Southeast has dropped four of its last five contests.
Nice Work
Ryan McCrum and Tennessee State's Lane Clark are two of only five kickers nationally to kick multiple 50-yard field goals this season. In all, the Ohio Valley Conference has had five different kickers with 50-plus yard field goals in 2016, second only to the SouthernConference.

Whigham Plays Well
After #2 Jacksonville State had the ball at Southeast's 27-yard line following two unsportsmanlike penalties, Cade Stinnett's 36-yard field goal attempt was blocked by
Fernando Whigham. Whigham gave the Redhawks their first blocked kick of the season. It was the first time Southeast blocked an opponent's field goal attempt since Nov. 21, 2015 (John Popovich vs. UT Martin). A week later, Whigham notched a career-high three tackles for loss and five total stops at UT Martin (Nov. 12). He became the second Redhawk to record three tackles for loss in a game this season.
FCS Top-20
Southeast enters the week ranked among the top 20 in the Football Championship Subdivision in three categories. The Redhawks are 15th in red zone defense (72.7 pct.), 13th in fourth down conversion percentage (66.7 pct.), sixth in kickoff returns (24.6 ypr) and 13th in net punting (38.9 ypp). Individually,
Ryan McCrum is third in field goals per game (1.5),
Cameron Sanders is seventh in combined kick returns (786 yds),
Alex Knight is sixth in punting (44 ypp) and
Kristian Wilkerson is second in yards per reception (21.6).
Red Zone Defense
The Redhawks lead the Ohio Valley Conference and rank 15th in the nation in red zone defense. Opponents have scored on 72.7 percent (24-of-33) of their chances against Southeast in the red zone this season. The Redhawks have forced three turnovers in the red zone, as well. Southeast was seventh in the OVC in that category a year ago.
Knight Leads OVC
Senior punter
Alex Knight enters the week ranked first in the Ohio Valley Conference and sixth in the nation in punting with 44 yards per punt. He punted a total of 58 times for 2,554 yards in his first 10 contests this season. Knight had 12 punts of 50 or more yards and was named OVC Specialist of the Week once over that span. He is third all-time in career punting yards at Southeast with 8,849.
