CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri women's soccer team (9-6-4, 3-4-3) brought the 2016 season to a close on Thursday with a 4-1 victory over UT Martin (4-14, 1-9).

Southeast celebrated the careers of three seniors prior to the match.
Kaitlin Kuznacic,
Angie Mann, and
Natasha Minor were honored as part of Senior Night festivities. Former Redhawk defender and current student manager
Christina Rohde was also honored.Â

A little history was made on Thursday as Minor broke the career shots attempted record with her 187
th career shot. Junior
Kindra Lierz also broke the goalkeeper minutes played record in the 26
th minute of the match. Lierz finishes her junior year with 5,298 career minutes.

Esmeralda Gonzales finished the match with a pair of goals, her fifth and sixth goals of her rookie campaign. She finished with five shots in the match.

The Redhawks also had goals by
Paige Blankenheim and Minor.

Lierz (9-6-4) earned the victory. She allowed one goal and made five saves.

Makenzie Crawford (1-9) suffered the loss. She allowed all four SEMO goals and made four saves.

UT Martin's Nicole Collins put the Skyhawks on the board in the fifth minute on her first goal of the season.
Â
Blankenheim netted her first goal of the season in the eighth minute to tie the game at a goal apiece.
Lauren Kaempfe and
Jasmin Hilliard each assisted on Blankenheim's goal.

Minor scored the would-be game-winner in the 15
th minute.
Shay Darga sent a low cross into Minor who buried the ball in the back of the net.

Southeast led 2-1 at halftime. The Redhawks led in shots 7-5 at halftime.

Gonzales padded the SEMO lead in the 61
st minute. Mann picked up her first assist of the season on Gonzales' goal.

It was Gonzales again in the 88
th minute who scored an unassisted goal to put the Redhawks up 4-1. Gonzales took it all the way to the net and buried it in the lower half.

The Redhawks had seven shots in both half of the match, finishing with 14 shots to UTM's 10. The Redhawks put eight of their 14 shots on goal.

Southeast had five corner kicks while holding the Skyhawks to one. Both teams had 13 fouls.
Â
Minor finished the season with 12 goals, third on Southeast's single-season list. In her career, she fell one goal short at 28 goals of tying the career record. She also finished her career with 69 points, falling two short of the record of 71. Additionally, she finished with 99 shots on goal, one shy of the record of 100.

Southeast Missouri will miss the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament for the first time since 2009 this season.
