Pink Up Game
Southeast is wearing special new Pink Up jerseys for Saturday's game against Austin Peay. The jerseys were purchased through an online auction to raise money for Saint Francis Healthcare System's Pink Up campaign. The collaboration, led by head coach Tom Matukewicz, is a way for Southeast football to celebrate survivors and honor those who have lost their battles with cancer. Bids were made through the online auction from August 12-October 8, 2016. Winners were afforded the opportunity to personalize their winning jerseys with a name in honor or memory of a survivor or loved one, if desired. After the contest, the game-worn jerseys will be presented to the winning bidders. Last year's jersey auction raised $22,000.

Series History
The Redhawks and Governors meet for the 21st time Saturday. Southeast owns a 14-6 lead in the all-time series and has won seven of the last eight meetings between these teams. The Redhawks are 6-4 against Austin Peay at Houck Stadium and won each of the last six matchups in the series. Southeast averaged 38 points per game against the Governors during that stretch.

Governors Carry 23-Game Losing Streak to Cape
Austin Peay enters the weekend on a 23-game losing streak. APSU has not won a game since Oct. 18, 2014 (20-13 vs. Murray State). It is currently the longest active losing streak in all of Division I football.

Daytime Football
Southeast plays its first day game at home when it welcomes Austin Peay this weekend. After playing their first six games of the 2016 season at night, the Redhawks will spend their final five weeks with day contests. Southeast is 0-1 in day games this season.

Redhawks vs. Jacksonville State Game to Air on ESPN3
The Jacksonville State at Southeast Missouri football game has been selected as a "Wildcard Selection" in the Ohio Valley Conference's Game of the Week package on ESPN3. That matchup is scheduled for Saturday, November 5 with a 1 p.m., CT, kickoff at Houck Stadium. When the league's eight-contest Game of the Week schedule was announced in July, the Oct. 29, Nov. 5, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 games were deemed "Wildcard" dates where the matchup would not be announced until roughly two weeks prior to the contest.

Redhawks Drop Heartbreaker at Tennessee Tech
Two missed field goals and a pick-six came back to hurt Southeast in the end of its 21-20 loss at Tennessee Tech (Oct. 22). TTU scored 21 points in the second quarter as the Redhawks defense gave up a season-low 244 total yards, including just 74 on the ground. Southeast also shutout the Golden Eagles for three quarters. Ryan McCrum's 30-yard field goal marked the final points of the game with 5:48 left in the fourth quarter as neither team scored for the last 20:48 of the contest.

One-Point Games
Southeast's recent 21-20 loss at Tennessee Tech (Oct. 22) marked the fifth one-point game and second this season that the Redhawks were involved in under head coach Tom Matukewicz. Southeast is now 2-3 in such games with two of its losses coming against the Golden Eagles.

Young Springs for 100
Will Young rushed for 100 yards for the third time this season when he picked up 102 and scored a touchdown on 16 carries at Tennessee Tech (Oct. 22). Young, who scored the game's first touchdown on a 1-yard run with 10:19 left to play in the first quarter, is fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference in rushing with 71.7 yards per game. He also ran for 100 or more yards at Memphis (114) and at Southern Illinois (100) this year. Young presently has 498 rushing yards and three touchdowns in seven games and four starts.

Wilkerson Has Big Game
Redshirt-freshman wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson caught four passes for 116 yards and a touchdown against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 22). A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Wilkerson had two receptions of 40 or more yards and hauled in a 47-yard touchdown pass from Jesse Hosket to give Southeast a 17-14 lead with 5:55 left in the second quarter. It marked the first 100-yard receiving game of Wilkerson's career. He leads the Redhawks in receiving yards (398), receiving touchdowns (3) and yards per catch (19.0) through seven games this season. Wilkerson also scored a touchdown in two-straight games and has had a catch of 20 or more yards in five contests.

Moore Approaching 100 Career Tackles
Free safety Ryan Moore enters the weekend five tackles away from 100 in his career. Moore is tied for fourth on the team with 35 tackles and second with four pass breakups. He also forced a fumble and has 22 solo stops. Moore stands with 95 total tackles in his career.

Meredith Moves to 12th
Chad Meredith had another big game from his outside linebacker position when he turned in eight tackles and two sacks at Tennessee Tech (Oct. 22). Meredith, who hails from Louisville, Kentucky, had four solo stops and assisted on four others. He also had a pass breakup. Meredith moved to 12th all-time in career sacks (8.5) and tackles for loss (20.5) at Southeast. Additionally, he is the Redhawks second-leading tackler with 52 through seven games this year.

Stout Performance
Southeast's defense was strong once again, this time holding Tennessee Tech (Oct. 22) to 244 yards of total offense. The Redhawks shutout the Golden Eagles for three quarters and allowed just 14 points. Southeast also limited TTU to only 74 yards rushing as the 244 yards were the lowest of any opponent against the Redhawks this season.

Rushing Output
The Redhawks posted their largest rushing output of the season to date when they gained 182 yards on 41 attempts at Tennessee Tech (Oct. 22). Southeast averaged 4.4 yards per rush and finished with one rushing touchdown in that game. Overall, the Redhawks are sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference in rushing with 135.4 yards per contest.

Last Time vs. Austin Peay
Paul McRoberts broke the school's all-time career record in receiving touchdowns and Tremane McCullough ran for 150 yards to lead Southeast to a commanding 44-15 win over Austin Peay on Nov. 7, 2015. The Redhawks shutout the Governors in the second half and scored 23 unanswered points en route to the win.
