On the Road Again
Southeast plays its Ohio Valley Conference high fifth road game of the season when it heads to Tennessee Tech this weekend. The Redhawks are 1-3 outside of Cape Girardeau and 3-12 all-time on the road under head coach Tom Matukewicz.

Series History
The Redhawks are 10-14 all-time in their series against Tennessee Tech, which began in 1991. TTU has won seven of the last 10 meetings between these teams. Southeast is 3-8 against the Golden Eagles at Tucker Stadium. The Redhawks are looking to snap a four-game losing streak in Cookeville after last winning there in 2003. Ten of the last 13 matchups have been decided by seven or less points.

Bye Week
Southeast was idle last week and faces Tennessee Tech off its bye week for the third-straight season. The Redhawks beat the Golden Eagles, 38-17, at Houck Stadium a year ago.

McCrum Clears 200 Points
Kicker Ryan McCrum went over 200 points in his career when he made 3-of-3 field goals and one extra point at Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 8). McCrum is the Redhawks leading scorer with 39 points on 9-of-12 field goals and a perfect 12-of-12 PATs this year. He ranks sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring (6.5 ppg), second in field goals and tied for first in PAT kicking percentage. McCrum presently has 203 points in his career.

McCrum and Garrett Win OVC Honors
Ryan McCrum and Roper Garrett earned adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Football Player of the Week awards on Oct. 9. McCrum was named Specialist of the Week and Garrett was Co-Defensive Player of the Week. A native of St. Charles, Missouri, McCrum connected on field goals of 50, 30 and 22 yards and made his only extra point attempt in SEMO's road loss at Eastern Kentucky. He went over 200 career points (200) and now has nine made field goals this season (first in the OVC). McCrum also made 41 consecutive PATs and currently ranks seventh nationally in field goals made (1.5/game). Garrett, who hails from Farmington, Missouri, had a game-high 12 tackles in against EKU. He added a tackle for loss and intercepted a pass that he returned 22 yards. It marked Garrett's first double-digit tackle game of the season and 13th of his career. In the process, he moved to seventh on SEMO's all-time tackles list (319); that ranks him seventh among all active Football Championship Subdivision players nationally. Eastern Illinois running back Devin Church (Co-Offensive), EKU wide receiver Devin Borders (Co-Offensive), EIU defensive end David Johnson (Co-Defensive), Jacksonville State safety Marlon Bridges (Co-Newcomer) and Tennessee State wide receiver Steven Newbold (Co-Newcomer) are the rest of this week's honorees.

Murdock's first career touchdown reception came on a 45-yard pass from Jesse Hosket with 11:13 left in the third quarter of that game. It ended up being the decisive score of the contest. A week later, Murdock followed that up with three receptions for 44 yards at Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 8). He had only two catches in 2015 and just one in his first four games this season.
