Southeast Missouri graduate and former defensive lineman Jon Robinson was hired as the new general manager of the Tennessee Titans.

Previously, Robinson spent two years as Director of Player Personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 12 seasons with the New England Patriots. 

Robinson graduated from Southeast with a bachelor's degree in mathematics education in 1998. He played three seasons (1995-97) with the Redhawks before spending a year at Southeast as a graduate assistant football coach.

A native of Union City, Tennessee, Robinson initially signed with the U.S. Air Force Academy out of high school before transferring to Southeast. He also coached three seasons at Nicholls State before working in the National Football League.

Tennessee is the second NFL franchise Robinson has the opportunity to work with that has ties to his alma mater.

Dan Connolly played for New England when Robinson worked with the Patriots and Eugene Amano spent his entire professional football career with the Titans. Connolly and Amano were teammates at Southeast and are members of the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.
