CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (1-20, 1-8) fell to Belmont (5-14, 2-6) by a score of 6-0 Friday afternoon at the Redhawks Tennis Complex.
Southeast, which was shutout for the 13th time this season, lost in straight sets at five of the six singles spots. Annisa Warasanti forced a tiebreaker against Suzanna Stapler at No. 4, but fell 3-6, 6-3, 4-6. Mariya Kostyuk (No. 1), Viviana Ortiz (No. 2), Maria Montenegro (No. 3), Melissa Martin (No. 5) and Katy Brady (No. 6) completed the rest of the Redhawks singles lineup.
The three doubles matches were not played.
Southeast concludes its season at home against Tennessee State Saturday. Start time is 1 p.m., CT.
