CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (1-15, 1-3) dropped a 7-0 decision to Eastern Illinois (10-4, 5-1) Sunday afternoon at the Redhawks Tennis Complex.

Southeast, which lost its sixth-straight match, was shutout for the ninth time this season.

The Redhawks were defeated in straight sets at five of the six singles positions. Maria Montenegro forced a three-set tiebreaker in the other spot, at No. 4 singles.

EIU then won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to secure the point.

Southeast returns to action when it hosts SIU Edwardsville Monday. Start time is 2 p.m., CT.
