CHARLESTON, S.C. - Southeast Missouri cornerback Mike Ford was one of 32 defensive backs named to the 2015 College Football Performance Awards Football Championship Subdivision Defensive Awards Watch List Wednesday.

A native of Alton, Illinois, Ford leads the Ohio Valley Conference with four interceptions and ranks 11th in the FCS in interceptions per game this season, his first starting at cornerback. He is currently fourth on the team 33 tackles, including 25 solo stops. Ford has two tackles for loss, a sack and a team-high six pass breakups, as well. Additionally, earned the first OVC Defensive Player of the Week award of his career on Sept. 13, a day after returning one of his two interceptions 21 yards for a touchdown vs. Southern Illinois.

All FCS players are eligible for awards at their respective positions. Players are not preemptively eliminated from consideration.

The award winners will be announced January 13, 2016.
