The Redhawks had three players in double-digit points Wednesday evening.
"Prior to the final couple minutes of the game, I think we played a really good game tonight," said head coach
Rekha Patterson. "We played with great composure and great energy and our players competed really well."
The Redhawks were up 14-7 in the first quarter but the Lady Bulldogs finished the quarter on a seven-point run to tie the game at 14 all at the end of the first frame.
Erin Bollmann led the way in the quarter with six points off the bench.
After struggling to drain a bucket in the first quarter, the Redhawk offense began to fire in the second quarter, led by
Olivia Hackmann. The Redhawks outscored Alabama A&M 20-6 in the frame to carry a 34-20 lead into halftime.
Hackmann tallied eight points in the second quarter, bringing her first-half total to a team-high 12. Bollmann added four points in the second to also tip the double-digit mark with 10.

Adrianna Murphy had six points in the game, a new season-high for the freshman.
Patterson commented on Bollmann's performance, "You have to allow her to play the way she plays for her to be her best. She is continuing to grow in her role and she is providing us with leadership, scoring, and rebounding. To have a player like that come off the bench is huge for our team.
Bollmann was also the Redhawks' rebounding leader with eight on the night.
Connor King pulled down seven boards against the Lady Bulldogs. King officially recorded her 500th career rebound Wednesday evening, only needing six going into the game.
The Redhawks welcome Missouri-Kansas City to the Show Me Center on Friday. Tipoff against the Kangaroos has been changed to 6 p.m. It will be the last home game for the Redhawks before they begin a six-game road swing next week.
