CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — The Southeast Missouri and Belmont soccer teams played to a 1-1 draw Friday evening after a double overtime affair.
Southeast is now 7-5-3 on the season and 2-2-2 in Ohio Valley Conference play. Belmont is 3-10-2, 2-4-1 OVC.
The Redhawks and Burins found themselves scoreless after the first half of play.
The Redhawks outshot the Bruins 6-2 in the first half, putting two shots on goal.
Megan Michela broke the scoreless drought in the 69th minute of the match, putting Belmont on top, 1-0. Michela shot from the top corner of the box, between a Belmont defender's legs, and in to the back of the net.
Angie Mann scored her seventh goal of the season in the 75th minute to tie the contest at 1-1.
Jordan Nelson fed Mann who hooked it in and off the keeper's hands and in.
The 1-1 score would stand through the end of regulation and two overtime periods to end in a 1-1 draw.
The Redhawks' best chance for a win came in the 104th minute when
Jennifer Antonacci shot the ball past the keeper who was playing out of goal. Antonacci's shot was mere inches wide right of the net.
Southeast outshot the Bruins in the match, 14-10. Southeast put five shots on goal while Belmont had four on goal. The Redhawks had three corner kick opportunities while Belmont had two. Belmont out fouled Southeast, 9-6.
Antonacci led the Redhawks with five shots, two of which were on goal.

Christina Rohde played the entire 110 minutes of the match Friday.
Kindra Lierz (6-5-3) played the match in its entirety in goal for Southeast. Lierz made three saves.
Stephanie Bukovec (3-10-2) also played the full 110 minutes in goal for Belmont. Bukovec recorded four saves.
The Redhawks return to action Sunday at 1 p.m. when they host Jacksonville State.
